Once Upon A Time,
I was an angel in heaven and
I was home under the purity
and grace of heaven's love
I was at peace and somewhat content
But that was until I looked down onto
the earth and saw its inhabitants,
but someone caught my eye
That someone was you
and for me, it was
love at first sight...
God knew what my heart was feeling in that moment and He refused to send me down to meet you
So I jumped out of heaven
onto earth, I broke my wing and became
a normal human being
who was foolishly blinded by love...
You found me and helped me
heal from all my aches and pains,
You tried to mend my broken wing
but I ended up becoming a burden,
you got tired of me,
you got bored of me being broken
I didn't know where to go,
I didn't know where to turn,
I couldn't fly any longer,
because an angel can't fly with one wing...
But God saw me,
He forgave me,
He healed me,
He gave me love and
a reason to live again...
He saw me trying to fly
with one wing, and he helped me by making me realize that true love lives within me.
Now I'm back home and back to flying over the endless rainbow.
Now, I am an angel with a broken heart that is learning how to heal.
