Marie's POV
I could not believe what he just said. Between the noise of the party and the shock that I am experiencing, I just can't think. I love him too, I really do, but I didn't think he would love me back.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say that," He says, seeing how his words had the effect that they did.
"Don't be sorry. I just didn't expect you to say that is all," I was starting to calm down. I moved in closer to him, giving him a hug.
"I love you too," I tell him, looking up at his face. He smiled down at me and hugged me tighter.
We didn't stay at the party too much longer, we were so caught up in eachother and I was starting to get a headache from all the excitement. The ride back to my apartment was silent. Not the awkward uncomfortable kind, but the kind where you can already tell what the other is thinking, so there is no reason to talk.
"I'd better go home tonight, but I'm guessing you have to work tomorrow?"
"Yeah, you?"
"Yeah, I'll come around sometime tomorrow if you arent busy."
"Of course," I say and give him a kiss. Im halfway up the stairs when my phone starts to ring.
"Hello?"
"I love you, Rie." I turn around and see Shawn still sitting in the parking lot with the phone to his ear.
"I love you too, Shawn," I say, and continue up the stairs to my apartment.

I really hate working. I get up and get ready, arriving at work five minutes late due to my drowsiness. As I work, the only thing I can think about is Shawn. He said that he loved me. I have never been so happy to hear those words from anyone.
On my lunch break I decide to call him but I get his voicemail instead. I finish eating and right before I get back to work, he calls.
"Rie? You called?"
"Umm yeah, just wanted to talk. My shifts almost over now."
"Oh,well im sorry I didn't answer earlier, I'm at work too."
"Are you okay?" There was something in his voice that just didnt sound right.
"Yeah, I'm just tired."
'Okay, well I better get back to work. Can I come over later?"
"Of course. You know I can't stand being away from you right?"
"No, I didn't know that. I hate being away from you too."
"I gotta go sweetheart but come over as soon as you get off okay?"
"Okay." I finished restocking the shelves and sat around until my shift was over. I bolted the minute that it was. When I got there I realized I didn't have a way in. I was about to call Shawn back but I saw his car pulling into the lot.
"Hey," he said, walking up to me and guiding me up the stairs.
"Hey."
"What's wrong?" He said turning to face me, worry showing over his face. I didn't realize the look I had on my face.
"Oh, nothing! Just super tired. I hate working." He turns to unlock the apartment door and we head to the living room.
"You love me right?" He asks me after a few minutes of tired silence. The question caught me off gaurd a little but I didn't skip a beat when answering his question.
