"Axca, why are you upset? Lotor was awful to us!" Ezor put her arm around Axca.
"I'm not upset about Lotor."
"What's your problem then?"
"What's your problem?" Axca spit back, standing up. She sighed. "Sorry."
"It's okay." Ezor put her hand on Axca's arm.
"I don't wanna talk about it," she said, sitting back down.

Axca had a plan formed. She'd escape and find Voltron. Something about the black haired boy seemed so familiar to her.
"Are you thinking about your mother?" Haggar appeared.
"No," she said, not acknowledging her presence.
"She lives."
"What?" Axca spun to face the witch.
"She's a part of the Blade of Marmora, I hate to say."
"No way," her eyes went wide. "Who is she?"
"Her name is Krolia."

She escaped the next night. She made her way out of her room when everyone was supposedly asleep. She rounded the corner to the exit.
"What are you doing?" Zethrid asked.
"Wh- move." Axca crossed her arms.
"Axca? Are- are you going to leave us?" Ezor's eyes welled up.
"Move," Axca cautiously eyed Ezor.
"We're your friends. We can't let you leave." Zethrid protested.
Axca made her first move. Both of her ex-friends were unconscious before you could say traitor.

"Keith, truth or dare?" Hunk said.
"This is stupid," Shiro rolled his eyes.
"Hey, it'll keep us from going crazy!" Coran argued.
"Dare," Keith responded.
"Ooh. Tell us one of your most embarrassing stories," Hunk challenged.
"Uh, when I was fourteen, I liked a guy in my class and I gave him a note that said get out."
"Wait!" Lance said. "What's this guy's name?"
"Uh, I called him Taylor."
"No, Keith, that was me. You thought my name was Taylor?"
"Well, you were the Taylor, because you thre- wait."
Pidge let out an unholy screech of laughter.
"You liked Lance? That's embarrassing," Hunk said.
"Hey!" Lance crossed his arms and pouted, even though only the mice could see him.
Kosmo laid his head in Keith's lap. Krolia grinned at Keith, who smiled back. Suddenly there was a whoosh and Lance had visitors.
Kosmo teleported away, leaving Keith and Lance alone and Krolia to pilot the black lion.
Lance blushed, turning away from Keith, who was sitting on the floor next to him.
Keith laughed to himself. "I thought I'd moved on from Taylor, but apparently not."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"What? Oh, shit. I- never mind."
"Keith." Lance turned to face him.
"Okay, okay, fine!" Keith laughed. "I-I was crushing on 'Taylor' until I met you. So, I never really got over 'Taylor.'"
"Oh."
"So, do you like me?"
"What?! Of course."
Keith shrugged. "I figured as much."
Lance scoffed and the two boys sat in silence for a whole minute.
"So," Keith prompted.
"So."
"So, would you wanna maybe be like my boyfriend?"
Lance shrugged. "Sure."
"Like sure, yes, or sure, I don't know."
"Yes."
"Cool. Kosmo!" Keith hollered. He appeared and took Keith back to the Lion.

"So, why'd you come here?" Keith asked Axca. They'd been left alone while everyone was off doing something else.
"Well, it's a long story." She looked at her hands.
"I have time."
"Okay, so, when I first encountered you, I felt a connection to you. I- I don't know what it is, but it became stronger when you disappeared."
"I'm not into girls, if that's what you're saying."
Axca let out a sharp laugh. "Oh, I know. That's not what I'm saying. This is weird, but do you know a woman named Krolia?"
Keith slowly nodded. "She's my mom."
"You're joking right?"
"No."
"Sh- Haggar told me she was my mother."
"No way. Are we related?" Keith scrunched up his face.
"Yes."

They broke the news a few days later, after talking to Krolia first. Lance seemed relieved. Recently, he'd been a bit cautious of Axca, probably since she was spending so much time with Keith. Not that Keith really noticed.

Keith woke up in the Garrison earlier than he did. He'd been anxious about the looming threat of the Galra, and therefore, not sleeping well. He wandered around the facility for awhile. He heard quiet sobbing down the hall. He carefully trotted down the hall. The lights were on. It was the hall where the deceased were listed. Adam.
"Shiro?" Keith called out quietly. Shiro wiped his face and managed to sober up before Keith could see him.
"Why are you up?"
"Why are you up?"
"I'm an adult."
"You're six. And you just underwent a major surgical procedure."
"It wasn't major."
"You got a psycho arm."
"Whatever."
"Don't play dumb, Shiro. You know I know why you're sitting here and that you just cried."
"I don't know what you're talking about."
Keith sighed, rolled his eyes and began to walk away.
"Wait, Keith." Keith turned around, arms crossed. "Will you sit with me for a minute?"
Keith hesitantly joined Shiro. Their shoulders touched.
"Look, if you don't wanna talk, okay, but it's not healthy to do that." He slowly nodded. He seemed to be biting his tongue. "And you know it kills me to see you like this. You're practically my only family- Well, human family." Shiro didn't respond. Keith sat there, watching Shiro's face. Placid. He left after ten minutes.
Shiro's mind was running one thousand miles an hour. He searched for any reason to believe Adam was still alive. He thought he didn't believe Adam was dead, but it could've been shock.

Keith freaked out the moment he woke up in the hospital. Where was Lance? Was he okay? Once his IV was taken out, he took every opportunity to sneak to Lance's room and watch him sleep or hold his hand when he was awake. He wasn't recovering as well as Keith had, well, none of the Paladins were. Keith was in his room late at night when he woke up.
"Mm, Keith?" He groggily said.
"I'm here baby."
"Come here." He sleepily outstretched his arms.
"No, I can't."
"Why not?" He whined.
"Your ribs are bruised. I can't risk that."
Lance made a whining noise. "But."
"Okay, Lance, if you scoot over all the way, I'll sit over there. That's my best offer."
He grumbled something Keith couldn't here, then scooted over. Keith sat down on the edge of the bed. Lance hugged his side as he laughed.

"Is everyone good?" Keith said.
"Perfect!" Everyone responded.
