author's note • introduction

This is a Legend of Zelda fanfiction story. I do not own any of the Legend of Zelda™ characters, terms or areas.

The story takes place two years after Breath of the Wild. Central Hyrule is still in ruins and nobody lives there. The Hero and Princess failed to restore it on account that they didn't have enough rupees to complete the project. But even when they did find enough rupees, Ganon resuscitated and Central Hyrule became dangerous for people to enter. The Hero realizes that he must hide the Princess from Ganon and they run away together. What happens next? Turn the page.

Cast:

Link - the main character. He's a very young, kind-hearted, shy, anxious, and ideal-looking warrior who has a lifetime duty: to protect Zelda and Hyrule from danger. Link doesn't talk a whole lot because people around Hyrule have been giving him way too much attention, so he closed down from everyone. Link also loves food; he eats whenever he can. His dream is to become a knight like his father.

Zelda - the princess of Hyrule. She's eighteen years old. She is an orphan; her mother died when Zelda was six and lost her father, King Rhoam to Ganon. The loss of all her people, friends, and parents made her fall into depression, but while she has Link near her, she feels safer and loved. She's outgoing, kind-hearted and confident, but at times can be sassy. Zelda secretly loves Link, however, is too shy to confess her love to him.

Ganon (or Ganondorf in his human form) - an evil Gerudo who dreams of taking over Hyrule. He is a villain of pure evil and is a cruel and ruthless warlord whose goal is to usurp Hyrule. He returns once again to kidnap Zelda and murder Link.

Deku Tree - A wise talking tree that lives in the Korok Forest. He is Link's "parent" on account that he raised him during his early childhood. The Deku Tree is also the parent of the Children of the Forest, also known as Koroks.

Sidon - the prince of Zora's Domain and the heir to the throne. He is the son of King Dorephan and younger brother of Mipha, the Zora princess and Champion. Sidon is handsome and attracts every girl. He is Link's best friend and helps him out whenever he is in a difficult situation.

Robbie - a Sheikah ancient technology researcher who lives in Akkala. He studies Guardians and helps turn them back against Ganon.

Purah - Robbie's colleague who is also an ancient technology researcher. She's a Sheikah and the older sister of Impa.

Yunobo - a young goron who is Daruk's descendant. He is able to use Daruk's Protection and helps Link save Zelda.

Teba - a warrior who is a former student of the Rito Champion Revali. He protects the Rito Village in Revali's place.

Riju - the Gerudo Chief. Despite that she's only fourteen years old, she's very mature, wise and cares a lot for her people.

Eric, Sheldon, Ronnie - Ganondorf's best troops and servants who are Bokoblins. (note: I made up these characters)

I also added some social media networks for the Zelda universe.

Tripe - Hyrule's video chatting app. Skype + Triforce = Tripe.
Sheikchat - a Snapchat parody. Sheikah + Snapchat make the name.
Koroksgram - a Hylian version of Instagram. Korok + instagram.
HyrulTube - Basically Hyrule's YouTube. Hyrule + YouTube.
