Link's horse was quicker than Ganondorf's engine. Link reached Gerudo Desert while Ganondorf's ship was flying above the Great Plateau. Horses weren't allowed in the desert, so the warrior left his horse in the Gerudo Canyon Stable and made his way to Gerudo Town.
Link walked all the way to Gerudo Town, but when he attempted to enter, the guards blocked his path. "Freeze! Where do you think you're going?! Not into town—that's for sure!" said one of them. Link backed away. "Why, what's wrong?" he asked. "You're a voe! No voes allowed in Gerudo Town! Off with you! Shoo! Shoo!" responded the guard, shooing him away with her spear. "Humph. Sexist," murmured Link and walked away from the guards. "But, I'll still enter! Ha ha ha!" laughed Link and went behind the shrine that was near Gerudo Town. While nobody was looking, Link changed his clothes and made another attempt to walk into the forbidden town. "Sav'saaba, Hylian vai! I bet you're tired from your long journey! There's a hotel on the right side. Enjoy your stay!" said the guards and let Link through. "Linkie always knows tricks," he whispered to himself as he walked past the guards. Link walked into the Noble Canteen. "Sav'saaba, everybody!" he declared and sat down on the couch. Furosa, the manager of the bar noticed him: "Sav'saaba, sav'saaba. You seem too young to be in here. How old are you?"
-"Nineteen,"
"You must be twenty-one or older to be in here! I don't serve milk! Get out. Sav'orq, Hylian vai," grouched Furosa and went back behind the counter. "I just want to sit down and hang out! I don't drink," insisted Link and didn't get up. "I said sav'orq, Hylian vai! If you don't get out, I'll call the guards and have them take you away!" Furosa protested. "Fine, whatever you say, Gerudo vai!" Link said back and exited the bar. "Kids these days..." mumbled Furosa.
Link headed toward the palace. "Sav'saaba. Is Riju here? I'd like to speak to her," he explained to the guards. "Sure, she's upstairs in her bedroom. Just knock before entering," they answered. "Sarqso. Sav'orr!" responded Link. "You speak good Gerudo for a Hylian! Keep it up!" said the guard.
"Riju! Can I come in? It's Link," asked the warrior, knocking on the chief's bedroom door. Riju came up and opened the door. "Sav'saaba. What brings you to Gerudo Town tonight, Link?"
"I came here because I need a bit of help," said Link, "Ganondorf planned to do the wedding in the very edge of the Gerudo desert, and I need to get there after he and Zelda do. I have a few days left..."
"Whoa whoa whoa, Link! Slow down!" interrupted Riju, "the edge of the desert is very dangerous! There are Guardians and thunder. You can't get there without getting struck by lightning. In order to get there alive, you'll need the Thunder Helm. I know that Ganon has made a safe entrance to the area for the guests, however, if you arrive and his guards see you, they'll kill you immediately with no questions. Yes, I know Robbie and Purah are making their way there, I've been notified about that. I came up with a plan and told Purah and Robbie to disguise and pretend to be the wedding guests. Once the scientists enter the area, they'll release their little robots and bring the Guardians back on our side. You must not only save the princess, but you must also as well kill Ganon. I will let you have the Thunder Helm again, HOWEVER! I'd like you to do me a favor first,"
Link nodded. "Buliara, my bodyguard and advisor is in critical condition. A group of monsters attacked her, but she was unable to defend herself. They knocked her weapon and shield out of her hands, then they almost killed her. Luckily, Liana and Barta arrived and assassinated the monsters. Buliara was taken to the emergency room, and the doctors said that they need a Molduga's heart to make treatment for her. However, everyone is afraid of Moldugas. Many brave Gerudo warriors tried to kill them, but all of them ended up dying in the battles. Link...please, you are so strong, you can kill anybody! Save my bodyguard, she is basically my mother...I would be so thankful if you were able to kill a Molduga!"
Link bowed to the young chief. "Sure thing, Chief! I'll go out into the desert and bring back a heart for you,"Riju happily clapped. "Sarqso, Link!! Don't go now though. It's midnight and it's freezing out there right now. Go get some rest, and once you wake up you may grab a sand seal and take off. Here are eighty rupees, go to the hotel, get a massage and some sleep,"
Link took the money, thanked the chief and went to the hotel. Once Link woke up, he got a sand seal and took off to the desert. He spent fifteen, twenty, thirty minutes riding the seal...when he heard a rumble. Very rapidly, Link climbed onto a stone and started battling against the monster.
While Link was completing Riju's quest, Ganondorf and his squad reached the destination. "Unpack! The princess and I are going to have a conversation," ordered Ganondorf and grabbed Zelda's arm. "Well, well, well, Zelda. Here we are. Now we have to prepare for the big day. Even if Link was here, he would be unable to get here: the rain and thunder are so strong, and the safe entrance is full of guards that would have killed him immediately! Anyway...we need to stop thinking about Link because he finally left this world. We have more important stuff to do. There are three and a half days left until the wedding, so...I need you to try on the wedding dress we made for you," Ganondorf pulled a black/pink dress out of his suitcase. Zelda stared at it in disgust. "What? You don't like it? No worries, once you'll put it on, you'll have a hard time taking it off!"
"I'm not putting that on!! It looks awful!" gasped Zelda. The answer did not satisfy Ganondorf. "I told you to put it on," he said, "I don't care whether you want to or not! Eric and Sheldon! Over here, please! The bride is refusing to try on the wedding dress. Put it on her! I'll step out and watch through the bars,"
The king of evil stepped out and watched Zelda get stripped. Looking terrified, the princess tried to defend herself, but it was completely useless; the Bokoblins were much stronger than her. Sheldon pinned Zelda's arms behind her back while Ronnie violently ripped off Zelda's silk dress. Then, the Bokoblins forced the wedding dress on her. "We got it on!" Sheldon called, "come to take a look, Lord Ganondorf!" Ganondorf walked in and looked at Zelda. "Saint Hylia, you look gorgeous! This is as perfect as I imagined! Ha ha ha!" he laughed, "this is going to be so exciting! Lock her in the cellar in the tallest tower! And keep her there until the wedding day!"
Sheldon and Eric grabbed the princess and followed their boss' orders. "Stay here. We're going to decorate this entire place! Once we let you out for the wedding, you're going to fall in love!" said the monsters and slammed the door shut.
Zelda walked to the window, feeling itchy in her new dress. She looked down through the bars. No chance for her to jump out and escape; the ground was so far away that she couldn't even see it. She was so close to the clouds. It was freezing, her hands started to turn blue. "How will Link find me here? Even if he does, how will he climb up here? He isn't strong enough to climb up this wall..." she whispered to herself. She sat down in the warmest corner and tried to keep herself warm while waiting for her warrior.
