For several hours, Link traveled through East Hyrule. It was getting late and it started to rain. Link decided to make a stop in Kakariko Village to get some food, sleep, and say hello to Impa, Zelda's former caretaker. Link left his horse in a stable near the village and headed towards it. The exhausted warrior entered a small restaurant to get some food. "Sir? What would you like?" the waiter conquered, bringing up an order ticket. "Umm...I'd like some gourmet meat soup and a fruitcake please," said Link. The waiter took the menu from Link and wrote everything on an order ticket. "Alright, sir. Your total is seventy rupees,"

Link paid for his meal and patiently waited for it. While he did, a young Shekiah girl sat down next to him. "L-Linkie?! Do you recognize me?" she gasped. Link looked at her for a few seconds. "Oh. Hey, Paya. How's it going?" the warrior asked. "I missed you so much!" she yelled and reached to hug him. Link did not hug back. "Uhh...I missed you too, Paya! You changed a lot since the last time I saw you!"

Paya: "Well...yes! I've been seeing a therapist a lot, and I became a lot more outgoing than I was before. I even made a Tripe account so that I can keep in touch with everybody! Before that, I was gun shy about everything,"

Link: "I'm glad. I still have the same problems. I haven't had time to see a therapist yet. I had to stay with Zelda and support her after I killed Calamity Ganon, we were making plans together on restoring parts of Hyrule that were destroyed...I was so busy I barely even had time to myself,"
Paya: "I see, Linkie...I have some sad news for you,"

The waiter brought Link's order to the table. "Anything for you, Paya?" he asked. "Um, I'd like a large Goron Cocktail, please," she replied and pulled out her identification card to prove that she had reached the proper age to get the alcoholic drink. "Paya, the Goron Cocktail is a very strong alcoholic beverage!" gasped Link and started sipping his soup. Paya ignored him and paid the waiter. "Anyway, Linkie. Impa recently passed away,"

Suddenly, Link froze. He wasn't ready for this kind of news. "Who passed away?" asked Link, putting his spoon down. The waiter came back with Paya's cocktail. "Thanks, sir. Linkie, you heard me. Impa passed away two days ago," she said, taking a large sip. Link felt like crying but held his tears in, on account that he believed that a real warrior must never be seen crying. "That's so sad...I'm so sorry...I have no idea how I'm going to say this to Zelda when I find her,"

Paya started getting drunk. "Where in love of Hylia is Zelda anyway? Did Clammy Ganon come get her again?"
Link sighed. "Ganon stole her from me. He's forcing her to marry him...now I must go find her. I can't let that happen,"
Paya: "Zelda will marry Ganon? That's just sick. Who would want to marry *hiccup* Ganon? Also, *hiccup* Linkie. Good thing you came here because Impa wrote a farewell letter to Zelda. *hiccup* do you mind giving it to her when you find her?"

Link finished his soup and started munching his cake. "Sure! Do you have it with you?" Paya grasped her glass and finished the cocktail. "No. However...let's go to my bedroom....and I'll give it to you...Linkie. Let's go..."

After Link got full, Paya led him to Impa's house and upstairs to her bedroom. "You can even *hiccup* spend the night if you wish, Linkie. Lemme just find the letter..."

Link sat down on a bed in the corner. He opened his diary and started to write:

Dear Diary,

Zelda was taken from me. Ganon's servants popped out of nowhere, grabbed me and pinned me to the ground. I was unable to move. Then, they grabbed Zelda and handcuffed her. Right after they did, I got beaten up and knocked out. I woke up a while later, and there was no sign of them. I had a breakdown, yes, I did. Nobody saw me, but I'm so mad at myself for failing to protect Zelda from evil. And guess what Ganon is planning? He's forcing the princess to marry him. No joke. And now I must go rescue her before the wedding. I started my journey with getting attacked by a bunch of Yiga clans. They knocked me out, took me to wherever they were spending the night, and tied me up. One of the Blademasters then started shoving knives into my body and making deep cuts. I lost a lot of blood. They made plans to kill me. However, before they did, they gave Ganon a call on Tripe so that I could talk to Zelda. Zelda now knows that I'm alive and that I'm on her way to save her. They hung up, shoved me into the river, and we're about to kill me with shock arrows. But then out of nowhere, Sidon appeared and saved me!! I'm alive and there's still a chance for Zelda to be saved! I'm stopping in Kakariko Village for the night in Paya and Impa's house. Impa passed away two days ago, and Paya will give me a letter from her to Zelda. She will be missed. Also, Paya just drank a large Goron Cocktail and got drunk...I better be careful.
Link stopped writing and put his diary into his bag. "Linkie, found it. It's on the table downstairs....*hiccup* now...go to sleep...Linkie..." said Paya, who came back upstairs to the bedroom. "Thanks, Paya. Good night. See you tomorrow," replied Link. He pulled the blanket over his body and turned off the light.
Link slept for about nine hours. When he woke up, he realized that something was severely wrong. Paya was sleeping on the floor, he was shirtless and his pants were unzipped. "Paya!! What the hell happened?! Wake up!!" shouted Link, trying to wake her up. Paya opened one eye: "What are you talking about, Linkie?"
Link: "Why am I half naked? I went to bed fully clothed last night. You're sleeping on the floor...and you don't have any panties on! I can see your birthmark you told me about two years ago. It...really does look like a papaya. ANYWAY!! That doesn't matter!! And for the love of Hylia why are my pants unzipped? What did you do?"
Paya: "It isn't what you think, Linkie..."
Link: "Please don't call me that. I asked a question, and I want a valid answer! This is my property after all! What did you do for Rhoam's sake?"
Paya: "I was a little bit drunk from drinking that Goron Cocktail. And I was feeling kind of...I don't know...weird? You know I have feelings for you, Link! So uhh....last night...while I was a little bit drunk, I wanted to have a little fun with you!"
Link: "I get it. Uhh, I have to run. I'm sorry, but I have to run. I can't...I just can't,"
Link started to sweat. He zipped his pants back up, threw his tunic back on and took off. "I'M SORRY, LINK!! I WAS DRUNK!! I DIDN'T REALIZE WHAT I WAS DOING!" cried Paya, but Link ignored it. He grabbed Impa's letter from the table, got his horse from the stable, and made his way to the Hyrule Castle. I can't believe this happened, he thought. I didn't even feel it happening...I allowed someone to sexually assault me in my sleep...and nothing can be done because the cops of Hyrule are still under Ganon's control and there will be no consequences for the abuser. I can't...
Link sat down under a tree and started to wait for Ganon to begin his journey.
