Link's Odyssey ✔️

III

Link ran as fast as his legs could carry him. He was so focused on saving Zelda that he forgot about everything...

and he tripped over a rock. "Yahaha! You found me!" said a little voice. It was a korok, a Child of the Forest. "Take this Korok seed with you,"

"Thank you, thank you. Little korok...do you mind giving me a little hint? I'm sort of lost. I need to go to the Hyrule Castle. I have to hide somewhere near there and keep an eye on Ganon," The Child of the Forest pointed forward. "Just keep walking forward, dear Hero, and the castle will show up!"

Link hugged the little Korok. "Thanks a lot, Child! I'm sorry, I'd spend more time with you. However, I'm in a hurry, Ganondorf has made plans to marry Zelda, and I must prevent that from happening! I hope you understand..." explained Link, when someone laughed behind his back. Link grabbed his shield and shielded himself and the korok. "Run, Child! These are Yiga Footsoldiers! Go back to the Great Deku Tree and stay safe! I'll deal with them on my own," 

The korok took off, and the Footsoldiers began attacking the young man. "Come at me, bro!" said one of them, shooting arrows. "Get away! I don't have time to fight with you. I must go find Ganondorf and assassinate him before he hurts Zelda and Hyrule,"

The Yiga clans laughed. "Too bad, fool! You aren't getting away. We must revenge for Master Kohga! If you don't want to fight, perfect! We can finally kill you and-"

Right before the Yiga Footsoldier finished his sentence, Link killed him with two stabs. Then, he turned to the other one and frowned. "Alright, Linkie! You win this time!" he said and ran off. Link put his sword away and looked ahead of him. As soon as he took a step forward, two other Yiga Footsoldiers knocked him down and removed all of his weapons. "Prepare to die, Hero Boy!" they said, as a Blademaster approached. The Blademaster punched Link in the forehead and knocked him out. 

Several hours later, Link started waking up. "Prepare to die!" echoed in his mind. "Z-Zelda..." he moaned and tried to get up, but something was wrong. He was unable to lift up his body. That's when he realized that the Yiga clans tied him down. Link opened his eyes and faced the entire Yiga clan. There were seven Blademasters and fifteen Footsoldiers. "What the hell have you done to me?!" shouted Link, trying to break free. "Shut up, Hero Boy!" a Blademaster yelled, "you're going to be facing consequences for killing Master Kohga! He was our idol, our boss, our everything, and you killed him!" the Blademaster put a knife to Link's neck. "You're going to enjoy it, bro! Hohoho," he laughed and started sliding the knife down Link's body, making a bleeding cut. Link took heavy breaths and tolerated the pain. The Blademaster removed the knife from Link's body and started a new cut on his left arm. "Ganondorf already sent us invitations to his and Zelda's wedding. Boy, it's going to be lit! There'll be food, cake, a dancing party...even if you'll make it there, Hero Boy, you'll die before you even reach the grounds of the area! Ganondorf has Guardians all over the place! And if they see you...beep, beep, beep, beep, POW! You are dead. Hohoho!" the Blademaster described, smiling. Link stayed calm on the outside, although on the inside he was furious. If someone doesn't come and rescue me, I'll die of blood loss, and Zelda will forever remain in Ganondorf's hands, he thought. King Rhoam will be so mad at me if I die...that I left his daughter in danger and never saved her, allowed the Yiga clans to capture me like this and kill me...

"What now, Hero Boy? Ya thinking about Zelds? You're jealous that she's getting married and you're still single at the age of nineteen? Single despite that you have large muscles and a cute looking face? Forget about her, she doesn't even love you! Once she and Ganondorf will be pronounced husband and wife, she'll forget about your existence," said the Blademaster. "Do not ever call her Zelds!! She's the Princess of Hyrule!! This is so disrespectful to me and the Kingdom of Hyrule!" shouted Link, when the Blademaster shoved the knife deeper into Link's body and more blood began to drip out. The Blademaster halted for a second and turned to the other Yiga clans. "Kill! Kill! Kill! Kill!" they all cheered. "Not quite yet, brothers! How about we give Ganon a video call? I think it would be a pleasure for Zelda to witness Link losing blood. Bring me the computer, somebody!"

The Blademaster turned on the computer and went on Tripe, Hyrule's video chatting app. Calling Ganon...appeared on the screen. Seconds later, Ganondorf answered. "Yiga Clans!! I'm so glad to see you all! Getting ready for the wedding, I bet?" he said, smiling, and all of the clans cheered. The Blademaster coughed: "Yes, Ganondorf. Do you mind hooking up Zelds to this call? We have something wonderful to show her!"

Ganondorf was surprised. "Let me go get her. She's in a dungeon for refusing to marry me. Zelda! Princess Zelda!! Zelds! Come chat with the Yiga Clans, they have a little surprise for you!" he made his way to the dungeon where he locked the princess. Zelda heard a key slide into the keyhole and Ganondorf opened the door. "Don't approach me!! Don't touch me!" she gasped, backing away from him. Ganondorf grabbed her arm and shoved his tablet in her face. "Chill out, Zelds! Didn't you hear me? The Yiga Clans would like to show you something. I'll wait for you to finish chatting with them by the door," he grouched and exited the dungeon, slamming the door. Zelda stared at the screen and didn't say anything. "Zelda! There you are! We are so glad to see you! Perhaps you'd like to see Link! Check him out, Princess!"

"Link?!! Link is alive?!" gasped Zelda, as the Blademaster pointed his camera to Link. Zelda witnessed her hero lying on the ground, all tied up, barely breathing, and losing blood. "Link!!" she gasped, tapping on the screen, "Link!! Can you hear me?!" 

Link lifted his head up a little, looking at the screen. "Zelda...are you okay?" he asked. "Link...I'm so sorry! I should have tried to save you before they grabbed me!"

Link: "Uh...Princess...please don't worry about that...it's not your fault..."

Zelda: "Link...my boy...look at you! What did they do to you?"

Link: "Nothing too serious...I've had injuries much worse than this..."

Zelda: "Link, you need help!"

Link: "I'll be fine...don't worry about me! I'll come and save you soon! Please, please, Zelda, don't tell Ganon I'm alive! I want him to think I'm dead! Do you mind doing that little favor for me?"

Zelda: "I sure can do that!"

"Enough!" the Blademaster finally said and turned the computer away from Link. "No! Link!" gasped Zelda, "I want to speak to Link!"

"Too bad," laughed the Blademaster, "you had your chances. See you at the wedding!!" and hung up the phone. I need to come up with something, thought Zelda, looking through Ganon's contacts. She found the Zora Prince in the contact list. As soon as she started typing a message, she heard Ganondorf's footsteps approaching. She finished typing and clicked send as she heard the key slide into the keyhole. Right as Zelda hit the delete chat button, Ganondorf entered. "What do you think you're doing?!" he shouted, taking the tablet from her. "you're not making any escape plans, are you?!" Ganon started searching for suspicious activity. Nothing. 

Back in the forest, the Blademaster kept staring at Link's injured body. Link was barely functioning. "Said your last words to Zelds, huh, Hero Boy? Well, now you'll be saying your last words to us. Footsoldiers! Put him into the river and kill him with shock arrows! The murderer of Kohga must end his life with a painful death!" The Footsoldiers did as they were told. They threw Link into the river and lifted up their bows with shock arrows. Link squeezed his eyes and prepared for death. "Fire!" the Blademaster ordered.

As soon as the Yiga clans released the shock arrows from their bows, Link was rapidly shoved into the air. Every one of the clans froze stiff. "Run away! He has bombs that will destroy us all!" Link heard the Blademaster holler, and all of the clans took off. "I told you, Link! If you ever need help, I'll always help you out, bro!"

Link smiled. "Sidon! You saved my life!!"

Sidon, the Zora prince started to untie Link. "No need to thank me, bro! I was notified that you were in danger. As soon as I heard that, I dropped everything and went to find you. I knew I couldn't leave my best friend in danger. The best Hylian I've ever known!" Sidon smiled and set Link on the ground. But as soon as he did, his smile was gone in a blink. "Whoa, Link! What have they done to you? You need medical attention immediately! Stay strong, bro! Once we get to Zora's Domain you'll be okay! Hold on to my back!"

Sidon put Link on his back and they took off to Zora's Domain.
