You ride back in the walls entrance your head down everyone was eagerly waiting for us to pass. Your heart was heavy your eyes stained from crying Levi was riding behind me Miche places a hand on your shoulder. You couldn't bring yourself to look anyone in the eye.

"Look It's Captain Levi and the newest to his squad they're so cool..." a kid said probably 6 or 7 years old. "When I get older I want to be exactly like her." Said the girl. The boy gave an awkward salut saying "do I look like Captain Levi now?" He asked. You couldn't help but smile.

This was why you fought you fought so hopefully they wouldn't have too. It was something precious that you had to protect from the cruelty of this world. You dismount Miche gasped "where are you..." he started you walk to the kids. "I hope when you join the scouts you hold onto that determination. However I hope that you never lay eyes on a titan it changes you. You loose people I'm no hero so please don't act like I am one. I'm no hero, I'm just a person be you don't try to act like me and Captain Levi. You have your own unique way of doing things..." you say patting the kids on the head.

The sister ran into the house and brought something out. It was a necklace and the pendant was a silver locket rusty but it gave it charm and a 2 set of rings. "I made the necklace and this was something I found but I want you to have them. thank you. No matter what you both will always be our hero's." The kid said you smile and pat their heads and walk away "thanks kid." You whisper running up with the to Miche and Levi. You hand one of the rings to Levi and the other to Miche. "Those kids gave them to me as a thank you." You say smiling you then put the necklace around your neck tucking it under your tunic.

Levi slipped the ring into his chest pocket Miche did the same. You frown "seriously guys?" You ask they look at you. "We appreciate it but we don't want to loose it." Miche explained.

"So they gave you a locket and rings why?" Levi asked. "Well they said they wanted me to have them and I decided to give the rings to represent friendship and my promise to fight no matter what." You say. Levi turns away Miche gave a light smile but it was weak.

"Thank you (Y/N) I'm glad we're friends..." Miche said you smile at his kind words. "Of course we are you've been like an older brother to me since I met you." You explain Levi falls behind he was talking to someone.

It was Petra's father tears pooled in your eyes Levi kept walking ignoring the man. Levi stops and talks explaining what happened to her the man broke down sobbing you remembered the patch in your pocket that you took from her uniform you walk up to him and hand it to him "I took this off her uniform since we couldn't claim her body." You say handing it to the man he sobbed even more Levi walked away he grabbed your arm and pulled you behind him.

You walk to HQ with him it started to rain but your hood was on your horse with had left with Miche. You shiver Levi takes off his and puts it around you. "Levi...are you okay?" You ask as you approached HQ. he nodded but he was lying you could tell. "Levi..." you say he turns around his expression was ice cold his silver eyes were empty. Then he turned around and walked away leaving you in the cold rain. You walk into the cafeteria and it was silent. Everyone was in mourning no one was left untouched.

You sit next to Miche who was wearing the ring you gave him. You both sat and ate in silence. Until "where did we go wrong?" He asked you look up his eyes were heavy and also empty. "We thought that one person could make a huge difference and we set our goals too high. Now Eren might die, we will continue to be scrutinized by the nobility and the MPs..." You say Miche nods in agreement. Then you rifle through your bag and find the flask your father gave you unscrewed the lid and took a sip. Then handed it to Miche he hesitated for a second and took it. He took a sip and handed it back to you.

"Thanks." He whispered you smile and get up you make some tea for Levi and leave. "Where are you going?" Miche asked you don't turn around "I'm taking a cup of tea to Levi." You say walking up to Levi's office. Before you knocked you heard a crash and glass breaking. Fear entered your body you shake the door nob it was locked.

"Levi open the door please." You say worried. No answer you put the cup of tea down "Levi open the damn door or I'll kick it down." Still no answer you get worried and take out your hair pin and pick the lock. Once you were in you slam the door open and see Levi in a chair.
