After Josh feeds Amari, he burps her, then pulls out the activity mat that he hid away out of sight. He places her on it, then sits down on the couch with Tyler.
Tyler stops staring at the tiny creature rolling on the mat to make eye contact with Josh. Hurt is still evident in Tyler's eyes, he almost pleads for Josh to explain and tell him everything is okay.
"It started a year ago. In March of last year, to be certain. Me and Debby were still dating. We had been having problems within our relationship, it was heading straight for the end. We found out she was pregnant, and that just made things worse. She thought it was a mistake and did not want the baby. I felt it was a blessing and I wasn't just going to abandon my own child. I was there throughout her pregnancy, since we announced the hiatus. During her pregnancy, we decided to break up. It wasn't going to work out anymore, it couldn't be fixed. When she gave birth, I fell in love. We agreed I could have full custody. I researched names and finally came across Amari. It meant, 'Miracle of God,' and that just felt perfect because even if her mother didn't want her, she was still my little miracle. We haven't talked much since. Amari is now 7 months. Her mother doesn't keep in touch because she didn't want her own child. She thought she was a mistake, which pissed me off the most. That made our relationship even worse. We ended things when she was 4 months pregnant. I still helped her if she needed anything and was there for the appointments. She was born on October 31st, Yes, Halloween, by the way. Honestly, this is the most clean the house has been since I started keeping her. And the most clean I've been, I finally look and smell decent. Being a father is hard, Ty. She's always crying, I barely get sleep. I don't think she'll ever love me, I'm trying, but I'm a terrible dad for her." Josh explains the whole story of Amari to Tyler. Tyler frowns and places his hand on Josh's shoulder, "Josh, I bet you're an amazing father to Amari. You're a better parent then Debby, that's for sure. Plus, you have me to help." Tyler smirks at Josh when he finishes speaking. Josh's head shoots up and his eyes are wide, "I do?" Tyler grins, "Of course I'm here to help, Josh. You say you're struggling, and I can't just leave you to struggle alone. We're in this together."

"Now, it's time I meet your spawn." Tyler states, getting up and walking over to Amari. Josh groans, "Don't call her that, that's weird."
"Gotcha!" Tyler smiles softly. He stares down at Amari, smiling while biting his lip. He's hesitant. Josh motions to her, "You can pick her up, Ty." Tyler nods, takes a deep breath and picks her up.
"Hi, little clone of Josh. I'm uncle Tyler. It's so nice to meet you. I'm going to love you forever." Tyler speaks gently to the infant, while he rocks and bounces her in his arms. She giggles and reaches up at his face, her tiny hand lands on his lips and he gives it a tiny kiss. More giggles spew out of her due to the kiss on her hand. She grins up at him with no teeth, and he confirms his statement of loving her forever. Tears build up in his eyes, so he snuggles her up into his neck. Her tiny arms land on both shoulders, making it feel like a tiny embrace.

"She's so beautiful, Josh. She's a girl clone of you, it's unbelievable. She's outstanding, I love her so much." Tyler spills out in adoration. He rubs her dark brown wisps of hair with his right hand.

"My little Mari. I'll always love you, I promise."
