Chp 1 - moving day

HEY I JUST MET YOU, AND THIS IS CRAZY! BUT HERE'S MY NUMBER, SO CALL ME MAYBE!!!

"Ughhhh" I moan as my phone starts ringing. But thankfully it's my one and only bestfriend Jennifer.

"Hallo?" I say half asleep.

"GET UP LOSER WE'RE GOING SHOPPING!"

I had to take the phone away from my ear when I heard her yell.

Jennifer has been my bestfriend since day 1. We grew up together in California and we moved together to New York after high school.

"Ugh Jenni why???"

"Cause it's your last day in New York before you leave for California and I want to do something exciting!"

I'm moving to California for the summer cause my aunt apparently "misses me". I think it will be nice to spend my birthday there. Yep,I'm turning 20 in a month. Yay for me.

"FINE! Starbucks in an hour."

"Byeeeeeee EMMY!"

"Bye JENNI,"

I swing my legs over the bed and check the time

"Ugh 7:00 this is too early."

I walk to my bathroom and turn the shower on. Shortly after I'm scrubbing my hair and humming "call me maybe"

"DANGIT Jenni why did you have to set that up as your ring tone?" I mutter to myself.

After I get done showering I start to look through my closet for something to wear.

I finally decide on my green pair of skinny jeans, a purple top that slings off my shoulder, and my white ballet flats.

I mean I look like Ariel off THE LITTLE MERMAID! I guess you could say I'm a Disney freak.... I finished the look off with a little makeup.

I check my phone, it's already 7:30.

I put on my favorite white beanie, grab my car keys and head out the door.

I rush out my apartment building and head for my brand new Audi R8( thank my parents!)

When I get there I see someone I really don't want to...

"Hey Emily looking good..."

"Leave my alone Tyler we broke up 2 weeks ago."

"Really cause I know you miss me.."

OMG was he really trying to hit on me, after he cheated on me?! GROSS!

I only did what a reasonable ex would do....

I kicked him where no guy wants to be kicked.

I quickly ran off while Tyler was rolling on the ground in agonizing pain.

He made me 5 minutes late...Jenni is going to kill me.

I finally pull into Starbucks at 8:05. I mean I'm never on time

When I walk through the doors I saw that Jenni has already sat down with my favorite drink: a mocha cookie crumble frappichino.

I swear that's my weakness.

"Well look who finally shows up?" Jenni looks up from her phone.

"Sorry..... Tyler."

"Ooh enough said,"

"So uh how's you and Isaac?"

"Oh ya know.. The same old same old."
