PERSONA Chapter 9
- CLANDESTINE INCORPORATED - TUESDAY - 12:00 P.M. -
Although Eve Floure had no identity, education and background, Neyo, a few selected students, the teachers and the Aegis Force knew that she had a strong backing - the Headmistress. Even without those particular characteristics, Neyo was sure as hell that this girl - is no joke.
As for her persona and other skills, he was not informed of yet but she's probably strong and intelligent since the atmosphere around her screamed a capital 'CONFIDENT'. Thinking of this, Neyo chuckled faintly as he thought that this girl would probably be pulling in huge fights all over the school if she's not careful enough. After all, although the students here are all aspiring to become a part of the Aegis Force - still, a lot of them are proud and to be more specific, arrogant.
His gaze then went to Eve's tall and perfect figure. After a walk from the gate up to the end of the forest, he noticed that she really was the silent type of girl. Her appearance can only be regarded as beautiful and clean and Neyo's sure as hell that she's the type of character that would catch the eye of the crowd. It's a good thing that she's silent for it complimented her beauty quite well, otherwise, she would seem obnoxious.
No one would probably tell her or she probably already know that.. the students aren't really going to welcome her with open arms.
As Neyo thought of this undeniable fact, Eve suddenly stopped walking and sat on a huge rock by the side walk causing the former to frown.
"I'm sorry. I was not thoughtful enough. You must still be tired from the journey" hearing him say that with an obvious tinge of worry in his voice, Eve immediately giggled and said, "You have got be kidding. I slept well. I just wanted to sit for a while"
"Oh" he smiled and added "We're now schoolmates, so should we begin to get informal? How about starting with our names?"
Eve chuckled and crossed her arms, "I have never been formal from the very beginning, Neyo"
"I have a question," he said as he stood in front of Eve causing the latter to look up to him - straight in the eyes
"If the questions hard to answer, then you should excuse me in advance for I might become very.. rude" Neyo did not seem to expect that because he was quiet for a few seconds and then not a minute later, he said, "Fine"
"What's your relationship with the Headmistress that she even has to fetch you and send you here?" he asked causing Eve to feel surprised, seeing her shocked face, he was shocked too
"W-what's so shocking? Was there something wrong with my question?"
Eve stared at Neyo for so long that he felt like she could read his brain; peeking into the small parts and eventually peering through his thoughts. His expression was so serious that Eve almost could not hold her laughter.
'That is what he's most curious of? Not for the reason as to why I'm entering Clandestine Inc? Not for why I - an uneducated girl got the strongest support here? Pfft. He's so naive!' Eve thought
After 30 seconds of lamenting, she finally smiled and said "She did not say that I'm her sister from another mother when she introduced me to you guys?"
BOOM!
Something exploded inside Neyo's head!
"............." - Neyo
".. what?"
"W-wha- really?! Are you serious?!"
Seeing his unimaginable expression, Eve guffawed so hard she was moved to tears
"HAHAHAHAHA! Fck! You're so innocent, dude!"
"..........." - Neyo
Eve stopped laughing, peered at him and when she finally noticed that he did not get it, she finally coughed and said, "It was a joke,"
"... what?! You were joking!?"
"Yeah, a joke! Goodness gracious, where did the calm and collected Neyo go? Don't believe it so casually or else Unlce Pisces might wake up from his grave and scold me silly"
Neyo was hit by the huge shock once again when he heard 'Uncle Pisces'
"U-uncle?! The former headmaster? Sir Pisces Lumierre?!" noticing that Neyo was having a hard time processing the following information, she only smiled faintly and nodded causing the former to feel dumbfounded all of a sudden
Neyo was shocked silly! Who was Pisces Lumierre? Pisces Lumierre was the former headmaster and also the former leader of the Aegis Force. The man was so tall, intelligent and extremely good looking. No doubt you can say that Page Lumierre and Cashmiere Lumierre were like the exact copy of Sir Pisces - looks wise and even brain and ability wise.
To think that Eve Floure - the new student knew who he was and even called him Uncle Pisces, it seemed like she did not really enter the school out of just a sudden impulsive decision!
As if Eve was able to read his thoughts, she smiled and finally explained, "Uncle Pisces and my dad were friends. That's my relationship with Cash"
".........." - Neyo
Eve was dumbfounded. What? What was it that made him speechless again? She was telling the truth this time around!
"... Cash? Did the headmistress allow you to call her that?" Neyo asked and Eve nodded as affirmation
"I see," he said while nodding and with a warning tone in his voice, he added, "But just to remind you, the headmistress might have allowed you to call her with that nickname but in Clandestine Inc., you absolutely can not call her in any informal way possible. It is too disrespectful to the name and immaculateness of the headmistress"
Looking at Neyo's eyes full of admiration and worship to the headmistress of the school, Eve's cherry colored lips twitched and her eyes turned dark as she felt herself shiver from disgust thinking that this is probably the reason why Cash was so arrogant and proud right now! Tsk
Calming herself down, she said, "My turn to ask questions this time around," and Neyo nodded
"Students have rankings don't they? What rank do you need to reach in order for the Headmistress to give you an authorization to accept missions from the school?"
"In every year, from first year to third year, the rank you need to achieve in order for the Headmistress to give you an authorization to accept missions from the school are ranks 1-20"
"............" It was now Eve's turn to get speechless
Out of a hundred students from the first year students, only the Ranks 1-20 were chosen? What the hell. So does that mean that I'm going to have to steal other's rankings?
