PERSONA Chapter 8

- CLANDESTINE INCORPORATED - TUESDAY - 11:00 A.M. -

But wait. Should she leave? No one can really come after her if she just put some more effort into running away and besides, once she's into something, she can make sure that she won't put herself in a disadvantage.

Suddenly a crazy thought came into mind, her eyes shined an obvious tinge of mischief and her lips twitched upwards uncontrollably.

"That's right. I haven't entered the school yet. It's Cash's fault for not making sure if I went in or not. She can only blame herself for this" she whispered to herself, low-key looked left and then right and when she thought that the coast was as clear as a desert, she smirked, turned around and then started walking away.

But of course, who was she? She was the goddess of bad luck for the past 5 years of her wonderful life!

"Eve Fluore?" Eve stopped on her tracks and her face was dark

She breathed heavily, stomped her feet and faced the speaker.

A man .. a student to be more specific.

Neyo, who has had problems with seeing things at a rather far distance with his brown hazelnut eyes fixed his eyeglasses when he saw the new student.

He was the student Cashmiere was talking about earlier that was assigned to guide Eve through the campus so that she would not get lost. He was supposed to welcome but who would have thought he was the one who was welcomed instead. Such a sight was offered to him, of course he could not bare to ignore it and just blatantly stared at her.

Neyo has a very young face but you can not deny that he was oozing with an unbelievable charisma and not to mention, he was very calm and collected. Yes, he was composed and all but when he laid his eyes on Eve, he was stunned silly.

He was shocked not because her features were so tender yet cold, her silky and curly black hair were swaying like they were dancing with the faint wind here in the unknown forest and her school uniform suited her perfectly. But because this was not what he had been expecting.

Clandestine Inc. is one of the most renowned institutions in the Imperial Capital. Although its an institution that is not known by the public, still, it is regarded as one of the pillars of Imperial Capital's Aegis Force - after all, this is a place where the protectors of justice are being nurtured and disciplined.

Because of its prestige, all the students can't seem to understand why the school accepted such a student - not only was the new student accepted out of the blue, it was even a commoner and to top it off, the new student was uneducated. When Neyo heard those three descriptions, even though they were the kind of adjectives you would not normally use to describe someone, he had still made some vague expectations regarding the new student; haughty, rude, flamboyant and so much more.

He was suddenly speechless and amused at the same time. Who would have thought that it was this splendid looking specimen?

Not minding the fact that the guy was rudely staring at her, probably because she's already used to such situations, Eve's well defined eye brows furrowed faintly while thinking about what he just said earlier.

Eve Floure? Floure? Thinking about her situation properly, Eve still did not show even a minimal reaction on her face. After all, she's already on her mission mode. Cashmiere probably made up an alias for her. Fair enough. Otherwise, it would be weird for someone to not have a surname. But what can she possibly do? She really does not have one. To be more specific, she has already abandoned her name.

Eve blinked a few times and immediately brought back her poker-face expression.

"Eve. Eve Floure. Yeah, that's my name. What is it?" Neyo seemed surprised hearing her voice but later then smiled and bowed his head for at least a degree of 30

"A pleasant noon, Miss Floure. My name is Neyo, Neyo Thindrel. The headmistress ordered me to guide you on your way throughout the school up to the dormitories" he introduced as he reach out his hand for a handshake

Eve remained standing where she was - with her hands in her pockets.

Seeing that unruly pose that screamed 'I do not do formalities', Neyo calmly took back his hands and smiled at her.

"Okay, so you don't like touching others, is that it, Miss Floure?" he asked, Eve met his gaze and was amused.

As expected of an aspiring agent, he's very calm and collected. Very well, she shall be as polite as possible to this serious young man. Besides, she likes interacting with these type of people the most; straightforward, unpredictable and with sense. To top it off, he's wearing glasses.

"I just don't like overly-friendly gestures like hand shaking. But yeah, to make the story short, I don't like touching others" she said calmly while wearing a very casual smile causing Neyo to nod as an affirmation

"The headmistress probably told you about your important school belongings but you really won't be receiving it until lunch time because a lot of changes happened. They have not made that much progress because it was rare for the school to receive a new student for most of us here started to enter the school at the age of seven" he replied causing Eve's eyebrows to meet faintly

That damned Cash did not tell her any of this. Tsk. So she still have to wait for a few hours just for those key, badge, and phone? She probably did this on purpose! As expected of that my-pace woman!

Not minding the fact that Eve was not answering, Neyo said, "Let's go" and started to walk towards the school

As they entered the massive gate, all Eve could see was a well nurtured forest filled with huge trees. Huh? This place was actually the same as it was before.

With her thoughts continuing to run around all the circuits of her brain, Eve remained expressionless - a real poker faced woman. Neyo sneaked a peek at her and when he saw that she was still as quite as ever, he sighed a breathe of relief. If she's usually like this, then she'll probably be able to survive here.

Such a cool and casual temperament, he's afraid that its actually very rare to see - even in this prestigious institution.

Eve Floure. To be able to received a special admission letter and was later then fetched by the headmistress herself, a commoner that had the looks and temperament of a noble.. Just who on earth are you?
