PERSONA Chapter 6
- CLANDESTINE INCORPORATED - DORM 31 - TUESDAY - 10:00 A.M. -
The team did not react or try to interrupt when the agents under Headmistress Cashmiere entered their dormitory and brought more than 5 boxes to the vacant room at the right wing of their dorm - where Anna's room and two other vacant rooms are located.
"What's happening?" Peter whispered causing Anna to shrug her shoulders while Stan and Tim just continued to silently watch the scene.
Peter and Stan were playing an online game while Tim was on the couch, reading a book about what was going on in the mind of a criminal – his favorite genre of a book - before the arrival of the visitors.
When Anna heard Sir Lucas' voice - one of the professors of Clandestine Inc., she immediately went to the doorway.
"Good morning, Sir" Anna greeted and Sir Lucas immediately nodded "Good morning," he replied while showcasing his white teeth and dimples
When the agents who delivered the boxes came down and saw Lucas, they immediately lined up before him, closed their fists and placed them in their hearts.
It's the way agents from the Aegis Force give their sign of respect for an Aegis Force authorized personal - Lucas - although a teacher at the school, he is also known as the right hand man of the headmistress.
"Really, you don't have to do that to me" Sir Lucas said but the agents didn't answer which caused Anna to giggle
"Anyways, thanks. Please tell the Headmistress that I have forwarded the files to the instructors. There will be obvious changes after all" the agents nodded in unison and replied "Understood, Sir" and then went out of the dorm
The team was obviously confused at what they just heard.
"Eh? Changes? Is there a new student, Sir Lucas? " Stan asked Sir Lucas and when latter nodded, Peter and Anna shouted "WHAT?!" at the same time causing Sir Lucas to cover his ears
Well, Peter's a natural airhead like Anna so it's expected that he would also exaggerate a reaction. Tim and Stan of course, are as calm as ever.
"I came here to tell you the news regarding a new student. Those boxes were delivered next to Anna's room. The new comer will be a part of your team," Sir replied which caused Anna to peek at Peter who had such a huge reaction
He was also just looking at her at the same time. Obviously shocked but secretly delighted and excited.
"Why in our team?" the two goofballs' eyes turned to Tim who asked the question and Stan immediately supported him "That's right. Why in our team, Sir? I actually think that our number's already a perfect fit and all our personas are very well coordinated. After all, we have been brought up together and we've known each other better than anyone else"
Sir Lucas sighed. Seemingly tired of reasoning with the instructors who did not plan on accepting the new trainee, much less these kids. "Because like the four of you, she's special"
All of their eyes twitched and thought at the same time: 'she?'
Anna held her chin and smiled triumphantly while thinking: 'She is already welcomed and accepted! It's no fun being with these boring guys after all! It's good that they have chosen a girl for a new trainee and to top it off, its good that they made her enter our team. I hope she's nice.'
"Why did you turn quiet all of a sudden? You're probably not planning on accepting this right away are you?" Peter whispered and added, "And besides, Stan is right. We don't need a new member, aside from wasting our time on getting to know each other, we don't even know if she's going to be of help to us"
Anna shrugged and said "What? This team could need another girl for a change. We're still in our first years, we still have a lot of time to get to know each other"
And besides, can they even do anything if they say they will not accept the new trainee? NO.
"How is she special? She's obviously not from here. What brought her here? Her connections?" Tim replied, making the others' eyebrows furrowed
Whenever this guy opens his mouth, you'd be wishing he could have just stayed quiet instead.
"Oh right, I did not tell you that she will be arriving here today. So Anna, make sure to prepare on welcoming the new part of your family" Sir Lucas replied not minding Tim's question
He dodged the question. Tim's forehead crumpled causing Sir Lucas to pat him on his shoulder.
"She's the first one to receive a direct recruitment invitation from the Head Mistress of the school herself. Just by that simple information, you should already know that she's special enough to enter the institution, much less in joining your team. So kids, when she arrives, I expect you to welcome her with open arms" Sir Lucas added and then left the dorms
Anna got up and took her bag, which is why the rest of the team turned their eyes on her.
"There you have it. I'm going to have to go somewhere before the new student arrives. See 'ya guys!" she shouted as she ran out of the room, not even waiting for their possible responses
Well, that's just a joke. She just chased after Sir Lucas.
"Sir Lucas!" she shouted as soon as she caught up to him. The professor stopped and looked at her. "Oh, Anna. What is it? Do you have more questions?"
"Is that new student pretty?" Anna asked causing Sir Lucas to cough hard suddenly which caused her to grin cheekily "Oh, I actually hit the bull's eye? She's really pretty?"
You can't blame him though. Most of the first year students' teachers are all fresh graduates. He's still in his mid 20s.
"Yes, she has an innocent goddess-like beauty but .." he cut off what he said so Anna wondered "...she has some.. well, how do I say this? She.. has a very unique personality," he smiled faintly and caressed his cheek as if he was ashamed to say that to a student
"So .. you met her already?" Anna asked so he thought for a moment and then nodded "I guess you can say that. I've met her even when she was still young. I don't have a single idea about how she is now though but I think she's grown more beautiful as time passed" he replied and thought: 'Its probably in her genes'
"She was just chosen because she had a very unique personality?"
"No, it seemed like the Head Mistress saw herself in her. She loves to fight and she has quite the reputation from the villages," he replied and she laughed
"When is she coming?" I was surprised when he answered "The journey would've took at least half a day, so I think she will probably be here by noon"
Anna was stumped from the information and looked at her watch. Two hours before noon. Wait- what?! Her eyelids widen from the realization.
"S-so sudden?"
She thought: 'I have not even processed the fact that we are going to have a new member in our team and yet she's already on her way here!'
"That's right. It was a sudden decision made by the Headmistress. She has already gone to fetch the new student yesterday evening, so you better speed up your preparations" he replied causing Anna's eyes to once again widen
"She was fetched by the Head Mistress herself?! Why? Just who in the world is she?"
"Now now, enough with the questions, Anna. I'm still getting ready for the meeting. So when the new student arrives, make sure to welcome her and make her feel comfortable in the dorms. I'm counting on you," he said and then left
Anna did not move from her spot for a while as she thought about everything. Her blue eyes following Lucas' silhouette
"I feel a storm coming," she whispered as she ran back to the dorms
