PERSONA Chapter 10
- CLANDESTINE INCORPORATED - TUESDAY - 12:00 P.M. -
"So the team that was specially chosen and nurtured by the headmistress?"
"You mean .. the best team among the first years and what their ranks are?" Eve nodded
"All of them are of the highest ranks, ranking first, second, third and fourth"
Eve's eyebrows twitched. Hmm. As expected of the team specially acknowledged by Cashmiere. Not mention, Cashmiere has a very unbelievable standards when it comes to the students.
She smirked and asked, "Is it normal that their ranks were simultaneous? Are the teams ranked individually or by group?"
"That's right. It's normal. The ranking are by teams, so yes, they are ranked simultaneously which was why the school was kind of late in changing and updating your documents and keys - they had to add you in the rankings. So now, you're ranked fifth" Eve was stunned stupid
Fck. Just when she thought of being low-key and to not gather unnecessary dramas for a long period of time but who would have known that she would be skipping the ranks and trample hundreds of students? She would not even be a bit confused if students would challenge her for a fight or something.
"So how many students are there here in Clandestine this year?"
"A total of 1283 students. 123 third years, 456 second years and 790 first years"
Eve frowned. 1283 students? The numbers don't match up. Could it be that there are still hidden classes here? Thinking about this, she breathed heavily and stared at Neyo.
Meeting her gaze, Neyo knew that Eve probably realized that the numbers don't add up but he can't give out other confidential information about the school so he just smiled faintly.
Knowing that Neyo was helpless and adamant on keeping a lid on his mouth, she changed the subject. Whatever. Neyo might know, but Eve actually knew even the deepest secrets of the school that he did not know in his whole stay here in Clandestine Inc.
Her pupils that were hidden by the darkness glinted coldly but Neyo did not notice a single thing.
"You are a first year too right?" Neyo nodded
"Your rank?"
"Fifth," Neyo paused and laughed "That's right, it's actually sixth now"
"......" Eve coughed and glanced away from him
So he's not only one of those students I just trampled, I even picked him up and threw him out his position.
Eve paused as she realized something and asked Neyo, "Wait, so your team is the second best out of all the first years?"
Neyo's face was still calm and collected, but his handsome face lit up a lot as he smiled smugly, "This little thing is not much of a topic"
Eve: "........" show-off! You could at least be humble damn it
"How old were you again?" Neyo frowned hearing such a weird question but still, he answered "18,"
Eve paused and looked at the floor below them.
... so I'm older?
"You are under Sir Law's team, right? You got the fifth rank meaning you are also a first year. We have the same birth years so you're also 18 years old right? Why are asking such a weird thing?" Neyo asked while looking at her weirdly causing Eve to chuckle
"Well, in my heart, I'm forever 16" Neyo laughed and Eve just smiled as a response
She have to make sure to remember to ask Cash about the information she made as not make any embarrassing situations in the future. Tsk.
After sighing, she stood up and began to walk causing Neyo to catch up to her.
"Where are you going?"
"In the tallest building here. I'm kind of tired of walking so I decided to head there and let you point out the buildings and offices to be more efficient" she then added, "Besides, I don't want to be a feast for the students who are now training because if I remember it right, training days every Tuesdays and Thursdays and since its Tuesday today, it means that students are probably out of rooms now,"
Seeing Neyo frowning, Eve chuckled and asked, "What?"
"How did you know that there's a building in this direction? And to top it off, how did you know it'll be the tallest one?"
Eve's eyebrow raised from amusement, "I saw it and there's a map shown at the entrance of the forest. It was really not that hard to know, you know"
When she saw that Neyo was not buying her excuse, she just stared at him causing the latter to smile.
"I thought you were just a good looking new student with a very straightforward and round about personality but it seems that you're mysterious than I thought you would be" after saying that, he stared at Eve once again
She glanced back at him.
"You really do suit Timothy's team"
".. Timothy's team?" Neyo nodded, "That's right. You don't know him yet. He's the highest ranking out of all the first years, the leader of their team - to be more specific, he's the leader of your team"
Seeing him taking out a phone and reading something in it, I stopped walking.
"I have received a text saying that your ID, badge and keys are ready. Let's head to the tallest building, I'll give you a quick introductions to the buildings and after that, I'll accompany you to the registrar's office" Eve nodded and immediately followed him
