a year later

this had been jae eun's tenth job interview. she entered the building, sighing as she expected the outcome that would come from it.

she headed to the empty reception table, then thinking how stupid she was as the company was looking to hire someone to fill up that position.

jae eun looked around, hoping to find someone who could direct her to somewhere where she could get help and most importantly, get interviewed successfully

jae eun looked around, hoping to find someone who could direct her to somewhere where she could get help and most importantly, get interviewed successfully.

following along the corridor with doors located on both sides, she found herself standing in front of an elevator.

"thank god!"

next to the doors of the lift was a board with directions and which office rooms were located on which floors.

she managed to reach her destination before the clock ticked ten in the morning.

"hello? i'm here for an interview?"
"interview?"
"um the receptionist?"

her legs were shaking as she was stared down by the woman. not to mention the woman had donned a pair of killer heels that could punch through the carpet if she had exerted a tiny bit more strength on it.

"oh yes right. receptionist. alright we'll just start here."
"okay."

there was a creepy aura floating in the air as the questions rolled out of the woman's tongue. is this place even professional?

the walls were crumbling, and the elevator was so run-down that the lights were constantly flickering, causing slight irritation to jae eun's eyes. but she still managed to overcome it.

"okay you're hired."

part of her was thinking about how no one wanted to step foot in such a place, much less come and interview for a position to work here

part of her was thinking about how no one wanted to step foot in such a place, much less come and interview for a position to work here.

but she was more than shocked that she got accepted. not that she really wanted to work here anyway.

"oh thank you."
"your working position is at the reception at the entrance. you must have seen it right?"
"yes of course."

jae eun turned on her heels and immediately headed towards her destination.

truth be told, she had tried to occupy herself with everything she could do to forget about his departure. many questions had gone through her mind, and they all can only be answered by the one and only him.

she had worked part time at a cafe before working full time for 2 months at the convenience store. she got fired from there because her mind was always somewhere else.

now that she finally has found work here, she hoped to be able to forget everything and move on.

a fresh new start it is.
