jae eun managed to force a sentence out of her system, ignoring the burning pain on her shoulder.
"the nurse said to stay! god damn it can't you just listen for once?"

jihoon spat out his inner thoughts unknowingly, eyes widening.
"jihoon. we'll talk outside."
jae eun's lips were trembling as she witnessed woojin dragging jihoon outside before he could have the chance to apologise for his unruly behaviour.
she could hear the slight commotion going on outside her room, and she didn't want to be involved in this anymore.

all this drama and misery were brought upon her but she definitely didn't ask for it. true enough all of this brought jihoon to her. well of course woojin as well.
but, jihoon always held a special place in her heart. never once did she feel that way about a boy before. and now, it was a boy that she doesn't even know really exists or not.
bringing jae eun over to this world has been a mistake from the start. there was no way she could travel back and forth. she was a human after all.
"i need an escape plan."
it came out only as a whisper, but determination was roaring inside of her. the clean white walls of the infirmary were starting to strain her eyes as it was exceptionally bright in here.
if we were talking about the virtual world, there definitely are different ways to treat a wound. and jihoon opted for the speediest one for jae eun, wanting to remove her from the pain and misery of an injured shoulder as soon as possible.
"look. i'm sorry jae eun. for everything. i didn't mean to drag you into this, but we have to find the bracelet to get you back. it's like the key to the real world. now that they have it, i can't imagine what they would do with it."
he gently placed his hand on her other non-injured shoulder, hoping to offer some sort of comfort.
"meanwhile, we'll stay here until you're fully healed, get it?"
a stern look was displayed on woojin's face, and it was a rare occurrence that he would be so serious, which made jae eun oblige.
she could only stay until both of them aren't looking. until there's finally a chance for her to break free. and return to the comforts of her home.
