jae eun sprang up from her sitting position and bowed her head as an immediate reaction.
"oh. uh you're welcome?"
her rapid movements and unsure tone caused a toothy grin to emerge.

"i know i'm weird and all but,"
she looked up from her reception table and her gaze pierced straight through the man's eyes.
"are you woojin?"
the man winced as he heard his name escape jae eun's mouth.
"yes. how do you know? is it your job to retrieve background information of whoever enters the building?"

one of his eyebrows was raised in curiosity, although his tone had sounded a little harsh. it was like he was questioning her entire existence.
"uh. no! no! i just happen to have seen you somewhere?" "where exactly?"
one end of woojin's lips raised up, showing off his snaggletooth.
"i'm not so sure. anyway, have a nice day and goodbye."
she hurriedly sat back down and continued her business on the desktop. all woojin left behind was a small chuckle before he was stopped at the main entrance.

the rain had started pouring heavily, and the sounds of thunder filled the entire first floor of the shabby building. and clearly, somebody had to cross the road to the other side to retrieve his car.
"woojin? do you want to borrow,"
she was cut off by a swift movement over her hands, instantly emptying it.
"well then, see you tomorrow?" "tomorrow? would you like to make an appointment in advance?"
jae eun's head tilted to one side, curious at why he would be making a second trip back down here.
"no need for an appointment. or do i need one to return the umbrella?"
he snorted as he saw the expression on her face. one of pure taken aback. but before she could respond or come up with a silly reply to embarrass herself even more, he was already opening his car door and thrown the umbrella to the back seat.
he did a little wave to the still-staring jae eun before driving off into the distance.
