once again, jae eun was stood in front of the front door, this time with jihoon. she swallowed a huge gulp that she did not know was forming in her throat.
"um, welcome?"
jihoon showed her the way around the humble home that she was going to stay in until this matter gets resolved. that's if it is even possible to solve.
"so, how am i supposed to get out of this trap?"
"i don't know, honey."he shrugged his shoulders as he set down her luggage in the spare guest room.
"there you go! your room. we did spring cleaning here for the first time."
"alright, it's nice to know. thank you and now please get out. i need to unpack."jihoon's hand wrapped around her right wrist as she tried to explore her bathroom.
"i'll help you out."
redness brushed across jae eun's face at the sudden body contact. and before she could refuse his offer, he was already gathering her clothes which were fully sprawled out in her luggage and onto clothes hangers.
thank god her reaction did not come long after as she started to place her necessities in the bathroom. she could sense that if she took just one more second staring at the godly figure in her room, she would pass out or get teased about it. that was something she doesn't need from him now that they were living under one roof.
"so, we missed out on the chance to catch up."
"yea, right."awkwardness lingered among them in the atmosphere, and jihoon was dying to break the ice.
"how's life?"
the lamest question slipped out of his mouth. he was hit with instant regret, not long before he heard a giggle coming from the bathroom.
"everything's great."
"even without me around?"that was a question that drove jae eun to a dead end. a yes would earn her embarrassment and avoidance of the guy stood in her room. a no would mean she didn't even give a hoot about him, the total opposite of what she felt.
"i don't know jihoon. what are you implying?"
it was time for retaliation as jihoon was now the one in a dead end.
"i'm just saying, maybe we should..."
the door opened wide, revealing woojin who was beaming with happiness.
"jae eun! i'm so glad you're here!"
he rushed forward and enveloped her in a bone crushing hug.
"hey that's not fair. i should've done it first."
his murmurs missed the ears of the pair who were still in each other's arms.
"i better get going. we need more food."
he escaped the uncomfortable situation and slipped on his shoes to go to the nearby mart. and yes, he admitted he was just so close, so close to confessing his feelings. but dear woojin had to break it all up.
"wait. is it good to leave the two of them alone at home?"
