Everything moved so fast for Haylie as she watched Sirius Black fall through the death arc. She screamed loud, so loud, and wanted to attack Bellatrix Lestrange. However, Lupin had the fifteen-year-old girl struggling in his grasp. Only, she had greater strength then him and began chasing after Bellatrix.

"YOU!" Haylie shouted. She used her magic and flashed it at Bellatrix. "Crusio!" The wicked witch falling onto her back. However, Haylie didn't have the power to torture Bellatrix. It just wasn't in her heart to harm someone. Someone as evil as Bellatrix. And someone as evil as Lord Voldemort, who appeared right in front of her. Haylie was scared out of her wits.

"Haylie, you've got to mean it," said the Dark lord. "Foolish child." He threw the wand out of her grasp.

However, just as the two wizardkind individuals went at each other, Dumbledore appeared from one of the floo powder channels with his wand out.

"It was foolish of you to come here tonight, Tom. The Aurors are on their way," the elder wizard said.

"By which time I shall be gone, and you... shall be dead," Riddle said to his old , Dumbledore hand gestured to Haylie, making her fall onto the ground, pushing her away for the young woman's safety. She watched the entire battle play out. Between sending shards of glass and Dumbledore turning it into sand, and Lord Voldemort throwing a fire snake out of nowhere, Haylie watched vulnerably as she lay on the ground. She did get up a few times, but Dumbledore always sent Haylie back while protecting them both from the evil wizard's spells.

Suddenly, Haylie couldn't move anything, not even a muscle. She felt very drowsy, almost dizzy. She wanted to fall down from the pain and suffering she felt running through her body and into her mind. Haylie felt her brain bursting as Voldemort invaded into her body. She was groaning and moaning before she collapsed onto the ground, fiddling and fidgeting the powers of Voldemort's dark magic.

"Haylie," Dumbledore said concerned. Haylie was screaming with Voldemort invading her minds. She felt the words that weren't her own come out. She was tossing and turning as the magic continued.

"So weak. So vulnerable," she heard Voldemort speak. "Look at me."

"Haylie, it isn't how you are alike. It's how you are not," Dumbledore told her softly. Haylie looked at her parents' old friend and then back at her own.

"Fight him, Haylie!" she shouted in her head, terrible memories flashing and happy memories with her as well. Her yelling and groaning.

"Haylie?" Dumbledore asked her. Haylie was letting the memories with her friends letting her invade her own mind. She was back in a room with Voldemort's reflection looking at her.

You're the weak one..." Haylie said. "You'll never know love or friendship. And I feel sorry for you."

Her memories faded. Haylie felt Voldemort leave her body. She saw him as her eyes flickered and she began getting scared. Haylie looked at him.

"You're a foolish girl, Haylie Potter," Voldemort told her. "And you will lose EVERYTHING."

The Aurors came through the Floo Powder network.

"He's back," said Fudge. The man immediately disappeared, Fudge knew the truth now. The last thing Haylie saw was Dumbledore's face before succumbing into sleep. The former headmaster was holding Haylie in his arms, last holding Haylie when she was a baby. However, now she was a fifteen-year-old girl with a loss of parents and full of love of her friends.

It was a mere two days after the entire incident with Lord Voldemort and Haylie was silent from her friends, still coping with Sirius' death and also packing thing sup. She later went all the way up to Dumbledore's office. However. she didn't see him there. Haylie looked away and almost walked out the door.

"Haylie..." Dumbledore said. Haylie looked at Dumbledore, but still stayed where she was at. "Come here. Come on."

She stood there and walked up to him very slowly. A few minutes later, Haylie was gazing down at her nails, tears falling down her cheeks.

"I know how you feel, Haylie." Dumbledore told her after breaking the silence.

"No, you don't," Haylie said with sadness. She sniffled and quickly rubbed her tear off her cheek. "It's my fault."

"No, the fault is mine," Dumbledore said. Haylie looked confused. "I knew it was only a matter of time... before Voldemort made the connection between you. I thought by distancing myself from you, as I have done all year... he'd be less tempted, and therefore you might be more protected."

"But the prophecy said: 'Neither one can live while the other one survives.' It means one of us is gonna have to kill the other, in the end."

Dumbledore had regret in his eyes.

"You knew?" Haylie asked.

"Yes." He said.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"For the same reason you tried to save Sirius. The same reason your friends saved you. After all these years, after all you've suffered... I didn't want to cause you any more pain. I care too much about you."
