He Kept Me Sane

part 5:Lex's pov

       As I was holding the girls we heard Blair say,"mama" and I turned to Gerard. "Am I tripping balls or did you hear that too?" I said with wide eyes. He nodded his head as Blair continued,"we all go to hell!" And before I could turn to Gerard he was running as fast as he could out of the bus. "GERARD!" I yelled as Bloodrayne said,"They made me do pushups in drag!" When I looked up Em and Andy were hysterically laughing. "God my children's first words were possibly the worst song lyrics my husband ever wrote." I sighed when Blair said,"A stain that will never come out of the sheets!" Em started rolling on the floor when I yelled,"Where are they getting this from?!"

      I had just performed my last performance for the tour and we were headed home. "Honey." I said as Gerard responded,"yeah?" I smirked and said,"Did you tell them those lyrics so that it would be their first words?" He laughed and said,"Maybe..." I laughed and picked up Bloodrayne when we heard a g-note. Gerard's eyes widened and said,"Uh she made that noise..." I laughed and said,"When I was a young boy," he stiffened and a tear rolled down his face,"MY FATHER TOOK ME INTO THE CITY TO SEE A MARCHING BAND," He screamed as his head started  spinning. "DANG IT LEX WHY DID YOU HAVE TO DO IT YOU KNOW HE GETS FLASHBACKS!"Andy yelled as he slapped Gerard across the face. "Ow what was that for?!" Gerard whined. "Wttbp." I replied quietly as he said,"oh sorry."

      We finally were home and were exhausted when we noticed something in our mailbox."Who is it from?" Gerard asked as he searched for the right key to open the door. "Omg..." I said as my jaw dropped and Gerard raised an eyebrow. "It is from Brendon. Brendon Boyd Urie." Gerard looked even more confused as I continued,"He is like an older bro to me! How did he know our address? I heard he is in a band called Panic!At the Disco now. Good for him."
        We walked in the house and I opened the letter. It said,

Dear Lex,
      Hey girl! How are you? I heard you have a family now. Like two children and a husband. That is crazy! I got married to a woman named Sarah. We are not quite ready for children yet though. But hey, we have two dogs so that is close enough haha. I am also in a band called Panic!At the Disco. Right now I am working on a new album called,'Pray For the Wicked'. I heard you have a band too.Wish you the best!
       But the real reason I wrote this letter is because I want to see you again! It has been so long! Here is my number, text me and let me know what is good for you.                                                                 -Brendon  (Beebo)

I would love to see him again. Me and him go way back. I looked up and Gerard was working on a drawing,as usual. I decided to go check on the girls. I walked upstairs and cracked open the door to the nursery. When I peeked inside though, there was nothing. I ran to Em and Andy's room and they did not have them either. I ran downstairs and told Gerard and his eyes turned red and I dropped to the ground,limp and useless. I have never felt that feeling before. Well, not in a long time. For a long portion of my life, I was numb. I did not feel anything. Not emotionally that is. We went back upstairs and there was a note on one of the cribs.

Such cute little girls. Such naive parents. These girls have big futures ahead of them. Would be a shame if it was taken away. Meet me behind the cafe down the street at 5:30 PM with at least $1,000 or the girls get it.
