Just like old times, I brought Shawn with me to my parent's house. I needed to talk to them anyways, Shawn could help. They haven't seen him in awhile I know they like him.
My mother would always ask what happened and why I never got together with him. She thought he was perfect, and he was.
"Nothing has changed" Shawn said as he parked in the driveway. "My bedroom is pretty much the same too" I answered "really? Do you still have that big poster of one direction on you wall?" He asked laughing "haha, maybe some things have changed" I replied.
We both got out of the car and walked to the front door. I had forgotten my keys so I just knocked on the door a few time waiting for someone to respond.
The door slowly open revealing my mother "oh Camila and Fi-" she stopped her sentences once she noticed it wasn't Finn. She stood there for a seconds trying to figure out who Shawn was. I couldn't help, but let out a little giggle.
"Shawn?" She questioned looking him again "yes" he replied trying to hold back a laugh. "Oh my, hijo you've grown so much! Look at you" my mom said giving him a hug. I think she was more happy to see Shawn than me.
"What are you doing here?" She asked him "that's why we are here, mami" I said walking into the house "where's dad?" I asked "I'll go get him" she replied. I sat down on one of the sofas and Shawn sat down next to me.
"I think my mom likes you more than me" I tell him "I wouldn't blame her" Shawn said "hey!" I shouted playfully pushing him over. "That's not nice" Shawn said to me laughing "I don't care" I replied shrugging my shoulders. "Wow, what's with the attitude" he asked me "I don't have an attitude" I said giggling.
"Do you want me to catch one?" I asked rising an eyebrow. "Do you still hate it when people tickle you?" Shawn asked smirking a bit "uh, no" I said "are you sure?" He said "I'm positive" I replied "should I test that out?" He answered. "No! Keep your hands to yourself Mendes!" I shouted "I mean I could, but it wouldn't be fun" he responded.
"Get away fro-" I started I couldn't get a sentence out before Shawn started tickling my sides. I started laughing uncontrollably and so did Shawn, he was having a great time. Me on the other hand not so much.
"S-stop i-it Sh-awn!" I shouted laughing tearing up "why should I?" Shawn asked "b-because I-I said s-so!" We both were having a fun time, we didn't even notice my father walking into the room.
"Shawn Mendes, I thought I'd never see you again" my dad says to Shawn as he just laughed. "Camila, ¿Shawn es tu novio ahora?" Camila, is Shawn your boyfriend now? My father asked me laughing a bit. "Haha, que funny" I answered rolling my eyes.
"Okay, can I tell you why I'm here now?" I asked my parents before my father could ask why Shawn was here. "Sólo digo, me gusta Shawn sobre Finn." Just saying, I like Shawn over Finn. My dad said before sitting down "papa, stop it" I tell him.
"Before you say anything else, I'm just going to say it, I got a new job!" I say giving them a big smile "wait, when did this happen?" My mom asked "what does this have to do with Shawn?" She added "I'm going to be his photographer" I said looking at him and giving him a little smile.
My parents started asking questions and I started to explain to them. Until I decided I needed to go back to my apartment to tell Isabella. "How about Finn?" My mom asked me "I'm going to tell him" I said to her. "I have to go" I added "wait, I have to talk to you" my mom said.
Shawn said he would wait in the car and said goodbye to my parents. My mom then pulled me aside "I don't know if this is a good idea mija" she told me. "Why not?" I asked crossing my arms over my chest "you know I want to travel and all" I added.
"It's not that Camila, it's working with Shawn. I know the feelings you have towards him" she said "I-I don't like Shawn" I quickly said "Camila, don't try with me, I know" she replied. "Mama, nothings going to happen I have a boyfriend" I tell her.
"What does he think about you working with a boy you liked" She asked me "I haven't told him yet" I say. "If you don't like him break up with him, I don't want you doing anything you'll regret" she said.
I guess she was right, but I wasn't going to go anything. Why did she think I would cheat on Finn? I would never, I'm not that type of person. Nothing will happen between Shawn and I. I was smart enough to not to fall for him again. I wasn't sixteen anymore.
"You ready to see your best friend!" I said to Shawn once I got into the car "Isabella is not my best friend" he replied "you love each other don't deny it" I said giggling. Isabella and Shawn had a love hate relationship you could say. They fought like siblings, they loved each other I just knew it.
"No I definitely don't love her" he said "where am I going anyways?" He asked "oh" I said laughing before I started giving him directions to my apartment. I quickly sent Isabella a text telling her I was coming home with her favorite person. She started to ask me a bunch of questions on who it was till she got it. Then asked what he was doing here, why am I with him, and just how.
We had finally gotten to the apartment complex, I called Isabella letting her know we were on our way up. "Isabella! I'm always there with your favorite person in the whole world!" I shouted into the phone Shawn rolled his eyes at me as I giggled.
"He's not my favorite person" she replied "are you sure you want to come here?" Isabella asked "yeah, we are almost there" I said "wait, maybe we can go out or something" she said. "It's better if we stay inside anyways, I'm here" I tell her "wait, Cami-" I hung up the phone.
"What's wrong?" Shawn asked me "nothing, Isabella's crazy" I answer "tell me something I don't know" he said "shut up, she's still my best friend" I said "I thought I was your best friend" he said as I opened the door.
"I haven't seen you in awhile so you're my second best friend now" I said looking at him "but I still love you" I said giggling and smiling. "I guess, I love you too" he replied "hey!" I said laughing. We both were having own our conversation and didn't even realize who was around.
"Cami?" I heard "Finn" I said turning around my eyes widening, what was he doing here? Was this why Isabella was warning me? Finn didn't look too happy.

Question of the day: what is your favorite Camila song?
That's a hard question I literally have so many! Okay so I'm gonna to explain them all lol.
The first one was I Have Questions, when it first came out I had that one repeat all day. You just can really feel the emotions in that song.
Also Consequences is another amazing song, like woah.
Real friends is probably my all time favorite, it's just a song that's everyone can relate too. I also loved it when she performed it live like seeing it live with all the other fans. That was an amazing experience like you where just surrounded by real friends.
Also It's a tie between real friends and scar tissue. I just love the song scar tissue! Like ughh the lyrics are amazing, I love the message to it to. It shows you that even though it seems like things are good that it will get better, basically the healing process. Also the speech She makes during it got me crying.
