Hey, hey Helen, hey, hey, Helen.
What's the matter with you?
Hey, hey, Helen, hey, hey, Helen.
Don't you know what to do?
Abba "Hey Hey Helen"
Josette rushed out in the corridor. Forgetting the fact that she was still dressed in her blue and wite striped pj's with nothing on her feet. There was only two possibilities for the fire alarm to go off at ,04:00 am, in the morning. One Mrs Bright had changed the time for the ,fire practice, again or two there was an actual fire. She hoped it would be the former. Josette felt her chest constricting in fear at the thought of an actual fire but pushed it aside. She could worry later right now she needed to know what was going on.
Other people were already in the hallway talking to the person who was closest trying to find out what was happening or assureing their kids that everything was alright. Some of the guests was already halfway down the stairs trying to get to the lobby as fast as possible. One by one the doors opened revealing more confused and angry looking guests. Josette wasn't compleatly sure how it happened but almost in no time the volume in the corridor increased and it was suddenly hard to hear anything except the noise of people talking.
Josette headed towards the staircase where a line was beggining to form.
"Was it the fire alarm we heard mummy?", She heard a little boy, about 8 or 9 years old ask his mother. As she passed them.
"Yes, but I'm sure everything is okay it's just for practise.", the boys mum who was dressed in a pink nightgown answered.
"At 04:00 am?", Josette heard the boy retort dubious. Before their voices faded away in the background sound. Other voices replacing them from nearby.
"My hair is a mess just look at it!", a 17 year old girl, with ,long black hair which fell perfectly down her back in waves, wearing a very revealing black nightgown that could be mistaken for a cocktail dress complained to the person next to her. An elderly woman with grey hair in a last minute bun wearing a wite pj. Josette couldn't see the womans face but for some reason her stance seemed familliar.
"How horrible", came the womans dry response. Making Josette stiffle a laugh.
"It looks like something out of a horror movie", nightgown girl exclaimed dramatically. Ignoring or not noticing greys thone.
"Yes one of your hairs points west" grey remarked, and this time nightgown girl noticed grey's sarcasm.
"Stop making fun of me I'm not a child", the girl exclaimed stomping her foot on the ground ironically making her look like one.
"Yes you are", grey told her firmly and turned around to go to the line. Josette's eyes widened when she saw that the woman was no other than Mrs Macenzie.
The elderly woman suddenly spotted Josette across the corridor and cracked a smile. An few seconds later Mrs Macenzie gave a dramatic sigh of relief as if to say "I'm glad there are some sane people on this hotel", and started walking towards the now flushed waitress.
"Hello dear", the elderly woman said to Josette who was getting death glares from the 17 year old.
"hi", Josette said ignoring the girl who apparently wanted the brunets death to be both slow and painful. God she hoped that wouldn't happen. And questioned "dear?", she found it odd when Mrs Macenzie had used the familliar term with her. They hardly knew eatch other.
"Oh don't take it personal it's just something I say to people who has not annoyed me yet", Mrs Macenzie replyed casually.
"Thank you, I... guess", Josette said frowning. Not wanting to know what Mrs Macenzie called the people who annoyed her, but she guessed that it was probably offensive.
