2Am where do I begin? Crying off my face again.

The silent sound of loneliness.

Wants to follow me to bed. I'm a ghost of a girl that I want to be most.

I'm a shell of a girl that I used to know well.

Dancing slowly in an empty room. Can the lonely take the place of you?

I sing myself a quiet lullaby.

Let you go and let the lonely in.

To take my heart again.

Too afraid to go inside. For the pain of one more loveless night.

For the loneliness will stay with me and hold me till I fall asleep.

I'm a ghost of a girl that I want to be most.

I'm a shell of a girl that I used to know well.

"So were you ever going to tell us?", Sarah asked Josette anger eviden't in her voice. Josette sighed. She'd never thought that she would be having this conversation with Sarah or Tom for that matter. But here she was in a nearly empty kitchen with her two best friend's and fiancee'. The later of them giving her an I told you so look. While the other two looked like they wanted to rip her apart and send her body parts to different places when they were done with her. And what only made the matter worse was that for once... it wasn't Tony's fault. She'd done this all by herself. She should have told them the minute they become friends like she had with Charlie. Instead of kept it as a seacret for four years. And now this decision was comming back to haunt her.

"Yes", She lied easily. It was easier for her to say what they wanted to hear instead of telling them the truth. That she'd never would have told them and had been going to take the seacret to her grave. Charlie gave her a look. Knowing she was lieing as they had talked about this far too many times to count. Josette shook her head at him slightely. Asking him not to tell them. They looked at eatch other a long time both of them daring the other one to back down. They didn't.

Sarah snapped her fingers infront of Josette's eyes. Averting her attention from Charlie. "Hey Jo. I was talking to you", The blonde said looking beyond pissed. Josette gulped. "Sorry.", She said. Sarah nodded looking a bit franatic. "Damn right you are.", Sarah looked at Charlie who was takeing this whole thing way too calmly. The blonde looked back at Josette. Suddenly understanding why her best friend wasn't yelling like a mad man and breaking glasses like he usually would. "Charlie knew didn't he", It wasn't a question. And this time Josette couldn't lie. "Yes", She whispered. Her friend smiled sarcastically. "So you told him but not us!", Josette shifted under Sarah's and Tom's livid gazes.

"I was going to", She lied again. Looking at her feet.

"No you weren't", Tom said for the first time since he found out what Josette had kept seacret. Josette swalloved. She really shouldn't have lied. Tom knew her too vell.

Sarah just stared at her knowing that Tom was right. He'd always known Josette a bit better than the blonde did. "You lied!", Sarah exclaimed in a thone that made Josette wonder if she would loose her hearing. "And don't even try to deny it", the blonde pointed at Josette. "And you", Sarah pointed at Charlie. "You knew and it didn't even cross your mind to I don't know? tell us!",

"It wasn't his fault", Josette exclaimed. "I asked him not to tell you", Sarah whipped around and met her gaze however before she could even open her mouth Tom cut her of. "Why?",

The truth came easily this time. "Cause I didn't want to let Tony find out where I was. When I came here...", She said. "My trust issues were worse than now. And they're pretty bad", Sarah snorted. "That's an understatement.", Josette ignored her and continued her story. "I was very paranoid. And didn't know if I could trust you with my seacret.",

"And yet you told Charlie", Sarah exclaimed. "And as the years went on", Josette continued receving a amused look from Tom. Which quickly went away. He was still angry at her even if he had a more passive approach to the problem than Sarah. "It got harder and harder to tell you... untill it was impossible", Josette finished.

The greek shook his head. "You're some piece of work Stark", He said.

"I know", Josette responded. Her voice bearly a whisper as the only family she'd ever known turned their back on her.
