Nick had just told his partner, Hank Griffin, about the request from CILESO, the older detective was impressed.

"So you're just gonna leave your injured partner to work with the Feds, that's just cold, " joked Griffin, referring to his torn Achilles' tendon.

"Wu's going have your back."

Both men chuckled at this as they went over their paperwork. Almost thirty minutes passed when a woman in a dark trench coat entered the precinct. She had dark brown hair and piercing blue eyes. Nick was the first to notice, mostly because he was the only one who recognized her.

"Veronica?"

"Nick?"

The Grimm got up and greeted his old friend with a hug.

"What are you doing here?"

"Wouldn't you believe it? We're going to be working together again!"

"You're the agent from CILESO. Wow, that's- how's that going for you?" Asked Nick, genuinely happy to see his former partner.

"You two used to work together?" Hank asked as he moved toward the two.

"I'm Veronica Donovan."

"Hank Griffin."

"Yeah, we went to the academy together and were partners as uniforms." Answered the Grimm.

"Sounds like a lot of personal history, which is strange because Nick never mentioned any of it, at all."

"It's complicated." Simultaneously answered Nick and Veronica.

"Well, we better get going. Nice meeting you, Hank." said the female federal agent.

With that the two exited the room, leaving behind an amused and curious Hank, to discuss the case.

...

Juliette had spent the past few months reliving the start of her relationship with Nick, going over every conversation word for word, feeling every touch, and reminiscing every moment. She spent days laughing and talking to herself. She remembered every feeling she ever had with him, which sought her to how she had been treating him the past few weeks before they last spoke. She felt horrible about what happened with the situation with his captain, about shutting him out.

As nervous as she was she wasn't willing to lose Nick over this. She was going to talk to him and she was going to do it soon. She just had to finish remembering him.

...

"So the case, what is it about?"

Nick and Veronica were sitting in a diner that they used to frequent together, they had been catching up and discussing everything that happened in their lives, well almost everything.

"It's a series of organized mass murders. People are kidnapped in their homes, at work, and even in public. A few days later the local police get a tip on the locations of the bodies. The strange thing is that only some of them have anything in common, most of them have never even met."

"Wow, how were they killed? Are there any suspects, did the killer leave a brand or anything like that?"

"Nothing on the suspects and as for brands, some of the victims were killed in execution like manner, others didn't exactly get the same mercy."

Veronica pulled a file out of her handbag and passed it to Nick, it contained photos of the crime scenes and the coroner's reports. The images showed the victims' bodies arranged in a manner that showed that they were forced onto their knees. Some were shot in the head, others had their hearts ripped out, and the majority were decapitated. Others suffered at the mercy of their captors, Nick was rendered speechless at the sight of a row of victims hung by their feet with electrical prods and cables sticking out of their rib cages.

"Damn, this was all organized?"

"Yeah, we're thinking multiple perps working for some kind of terrorist hate group. These guys are pretty passionate about what they do, they even branded the victims."

Nick got a closer look at the photos and saw a symbol resembling the letter 'G' and a skull, the Sterbestunde G, the mark of Endezeichen Grimms. They were dealing with Nick's kind killing innocent Wesen.

"This is happening all over the country?"

"I wish that were it, a few weeks ago we got a call from Interpol, they said that similar homicides started in Europe and Asia."

An organization of Grimms slaughtering Wesen on a global scale.

...

Monroe was preparing a meal for his lunch date with Rosalee, it consisted of vegan steaks, a European salad he had been practicing to make, and his and Rosalee's favorite white wine. The Blutbad paused when he heard the doorbell, she was right on time. Monroe opened the door and his heart skipped a beat.

"Hi."

The Blutbad was mesmerized.

"Hey."

Despite the simplicity of her attire -or perhaps because of it-, she looked stunning, in a casual blue dress and light gray coat.

"So another picnic?" Asked the Fuchsbau.

"Yes, and this time there will be no diseased maniacs."

"I hope so." Chuckled the Apothecary.

As Rosalee stepped inside Monroe got a call from Nick.

"Hello, yeah she's here with me, alright -"

Monroe set the phone to the speaker and they both listened.

"Guys we've got a problem, remember when I told you that I would be working with a federal agency on a case?"

Both responded with a yes.

"Well, it's a mass murder case, almost all the victims were either Wesen or associated with them."

Monroe and Rosalee were shell-shocked.

"They were all branded with the Sterbestunde G. It's happening worldwide, there are cases in other parts of the country, and it's happening in Europe and Asia too."

"So what, there's a league of Endezeichen Grimms out there?" asked Monroe.

"Are they working for Verrat or the Royals?" voiced Rosalee.

"I don't know, just watch your backs and stay safe. Also, be careful with who you share this with is classified information, Hank and Renard don't even know about this."

Nick hung up and the two Wesen just stood there in utter shock.
