Chapter 22 *Special*

Rachael's POV

It had been two weeks since we got back from Italy, Luca was determined to get a divorce from Maria but with everything he tried something would grind him to a holt. I looked after the boys as normal trying not to get any attention off Maria or rise any suspicion between me and Luca.

It was Friday morning and I was getting ready work but before I could leave I had one job I needed to do.
For the past week I had been experiencing sickness every morning and it dawned on me that I was two weeks late.
I didn't want to know the results but either way I knew I was going to be alright.

I went back into the bathroom ten minutes after taking the test to see the results, my heart pounded as I picked up the pregnancy test.

PREGNANT!

I have to go tell Luca straight  away.

I try to contain my excitement as I walk into the house, it was early and I knew Maria would still be here. I make my way up the stairs without greeting anyone, I know Luca will be just as excited as me.

I walk straight to his office I couldn't contain it anymore but once hearing Maria shouting at him in there I knew I had to.

"I know it's her you cheating scum!"

My heart sank when I heard her say those words, she's found out about the affair.

"You're right it is her that's why I need you out, she is more of a women than you will ever be."

I suddenly hear a vase smash against the wall. "You will never get rid of me Luca, I have something what will keep me here forever."

"Oh yeah, what's that then?"

"The boys."

With that I stepped away from the door.
I couldn't do that to Luca, the boys are his world, my child has no bond with him. I knew exactly what I needed to do to get Luca out of this situation.

I went to see Gio and Dom one last time before I leave, I could feel tears forming in my eyes as I entered the room.

"Mama your here."

Gio ran up to me and clung onto my legs followed by Dom. Tears streamed down my face, it was breaking my heart.

"Why are you crying mama?"

Gio had noticed my tears, I walked them both to their beds and sat them down beside me. "I haven't be feeling very well lately and I think I need to see a doctor to see what he thinks is wrong with me." I didn't know what else to say, I couldn't tell them I was leaving them.

"When are you going to see the doctor?" Dom wrapped his arms around me, being the concerned self he always is.

"Today, I will get Ruth to make breakfast for you both and look after you for today but I'll be back soon." I gave them one final kiss and hug and left them both playing with their toy cars.

Luca's POV

Maria must have lost her mind if she thinks she can take my boys away from me, the boys she doesn't even care for.
I lost my temper, I pushed he  against the wall with my hand around her neck.

"Are you threatening me Maria?"

I could see fear in her eyes, I would never beat or harm a lady but I was not dealing with a lady, I was dealing with a monster.
The fear soon disappeared and she composed herself, "It's not a threat, it's a promise."

I let her go and stormed out the room, a minute longer with her and I knew I would have killed her. I went to check on the boys and to see if Rachael had arrived yet. I was surprised to find Ruth with Dom and Gio, not Rachael.
