After finding out that some random guy is stacking Sofia I felt it best to take the whole situation into my hands and also because if the family knew about it Luca would lock Sofia up and throw away the key.
"Yes this is it."
The first stop was to find out about the message. "Look, the guy we're about to meet might seem a little cranky at first but just let me talk to him and all will be fine." Sofia gave me a look of concern but I smiled, gritted my teeth together and proceeded to knock of the door.
Nobody came.
I knocked again this time with more force. "Jesus girl your going to disturb the whole neighbourhood". I pressed my eye against the peep hole to try and make out a figure, I knew he was in there but he was just so stubborn. "Maybe nobody's home?" I could feel the anger start to build up, it had been a year since we last saw each other, why was he still holding a grudge?
"I know your in there Chuck now come and open this door you stubborn asshole." I looked at Sofia, her mouth was wide open.
"What?"
"You do know that everyone in this building is probably listening to you."
"So?" She scoffed to herself and turned back around. "Chuck if you don't answer this door I'm gonna..." I heard footsteps approach the door, "you know I find it kinda odd want your back where after the way you treated me." And there he was nothing had changed on him, he was still the man I could never not be in love with. Believe me I had tried to forget about him so many times and failed every time, whenever I saw him them same feelings always came flooding back to me.

"Look I know I was a bitch to you I freely admit that but I'm here to help my cousin and I know your the best guy to help us." He looked me up and down I could tell he was still hurt about everything what had happened between us. "Okay but only because it's for someone else." I let out a sigh of relief and walked into his apartment, Sofia grabbed my arm as we walked in. "What's the story with him?" I went to answer her but was soon interrupted, "there is no story only that your cousin here broke my heart more than once my I add."
The basterd, if only he knew the reasoning behind it all. "I thought we agreed it was on mutual grounds."
"Maybe for you but not for me, now what is it you want to be done so you can leave?" I knew he was hurt but jesus did the guy have to be so rude. I could feel my fists clinch together, I was about to step forward and tell him what I was thinking but before I could move Sofia was already in front of me. "It's my phone well not my phone a message but we don't know who sent it and it seems quite serious."
Chuck took the mobile off of Sofia and began to analyse it. "I'm sure I can work it out but it might take a couple of day, can I get back to you?"
"Yes of course but umm... I don't know the beef between you too but your going to have to call her with the information because you know, you've got my phone." Chuck looked across to me I stared right back at him after what seemed like a life time he finally agreed. "Okay but it is strictly business." If only he knew I was already planning our reunion.
As soon as we left the apartment I knew Sofia was going to bombard me with questions, I heard her take a deep breath, I had to stop her before she started. "Let's find a Starbucks first." She agreed and we proceeded to make our way out of the building.
"We've been walking for half an hour now, we are going into the next Starbucks we find." Moaned Sofia. I was delaying the conversation what was going to come next. Having to relive the heartache and the heartbreak what I caused Chuck. "Look there's one." There was no getting away from in now. Sofia got us two cappuccinos and two chocolate muffins, she stared at me waiting for me to talk but me being me just drank my coffee hoping and praying something would happen to distract her.
"Look of you don't want to talk about it it's fine but I thought we had a better relationship than that." Here she comes with the guilt trip.
"No I'll tell you but it's quite a long story." Sofia looked down to her watch then back to me. "Well I've got all day."
"Me and Chuck met at college he was a senior while I was a freshman, I don't know if you could tell or not but Chuck is a little bit of a nerd." Sofia chuckled. "Well the star wars and star trek figurines where a little but of a gave away."
"Yeah well anyway me being me struggled with... well all the work in general." My mind started to flood with all the memories of me and Chuck, the love, the passion, we were like two jigsaw pieces fitting together perfectly.
"And".
Sofia brought me back from my daydream. "Chuck was known as the tech genius and the genius of everything basically so I thought he would be the best option to help me with my work." Little did I know back then I'd fall in love with the guy.
"I asked around about him and found out where I could find him and basically he never left his dorm unless he had a lecture so that is where I went." My mind flashed back to the first time we met, he was so shy and conservative. "Don't stop now I need the details." There wasn't really much left to say, we hit it off straight away, I brought him out of his shell and then broke his heart twice. "Everything was so up and down between us, I loved him mean I still do but I can't commit to him one hundred percent because he would never understand are lifestyle."
I could feel my eyes start to well up. The only reason I broke up with him was because of the stupid mafia. He would never understand the life we live, people die it was normal but for him, it was what he watched in movie's not in life. Sofia grabbed my hand to comfort me, "I know how hard it is but if you both love each other you can make this work." I knew she was only trying to help me but how does she think I can do that?
"I can't just out with it he'll freak out."
"Well if you want it to work your going to have to tell him because when he meets the family it will be a slight giveaway." She was right I wanted to be with him and keeping secrets was a no go for me.
"And besides I'm sure your dad won't mind a whiz kid joining the family, he can help out with stuff sometime I'm sure."
I'm not even back with him yet and she is already trying to palm him off with jobs. My phone started to vibrate on the table. "Speak of the devil look who it is."
"Hi Chuck, what's going...."
"I think it's best you guys come over I've found out something your probably going to want to see."
