I can't believe what just I said a seconds ago. What the hell cross in my mind to come up with that answer? Fear? I've been completely reckless. I only said it to prevent him from exploiting me.

“You can't take back what you said, love.” he snickered upon seeing my reaction. Tinulak ko ang dibdib niya para makaupo. Mabuti na rin at hinayaan niya akong gawin ‘to. Sapo ko ang dibdib dahil sa mabibigat kong paghinga.

“Not that I have a choice.” I muttered, rolling my eyes instantly.

“If I only knew before that threat harrasement is the only thing that make you give up your knees, I should have done it the first time we met.” he retorted. Maingat niyang iniangat ang kanan kong kamay at pinadausdos ang isang bakal sa daliri ko.

“And since I have now your consent, that solely means you're engaged to me. You're my fiance now.” dagdag niya pa. Wala na yatang ilalawak pa ang ngiti sa labi niya habang nakatingin siya sa akin. I could really see the spark of happiness in his eyes the way he look at me. Hindi mo masasabing peke. Its genuine.

Tumingin ako sa singsing. “Its not a consent, Xyrus. You asked me by force. You threat me.”

“I don't care,” he respond. “I’ll take all the chances and wicked ways to keep you under my arms. Even by force, as long as you became mine.”

I felt sorry for him. Really sorry. Because I couldn't return the love he always offered to me. Para sa kaniya, nahanap na niya ang babaeng para sa kaniya. Pero para sa akin, isa siyang malaking sagabal sa buhay ko. We look each other differently, and that hurt the most.

“This is not love. You're not in love. Its considered as obsession. I can't marry your kind. We are born to oppose each other. I am the sole huntress in our association. Ano nalang ang iisipin nila pag nalaman nilang fiance mo ako?” I paused a bit, wishing that my words may convince him. “at ano nalang rin ang iisipin ng mga nasasakupan mo kapag nalaman nilang isang huntress ang mapapangasawa mo?”

“I don't play by the rules,” he told me. Mas naging seryoso ang boses niya kaysa kanina. “I don't give a damn about reputation, besides they already knew that I'm a monster. That's why forcing a huntress as my betrothed isn't new anymore.”

I want to know what I have done to make this man fell in my invisible charm. I may admit that I'm a bit beautiful but not a goddesses like. But the way he looks at me makes me think that I've surpassed the beauty of a demigod.

“If you bothered to think why I'm like this, it is because I love you for no reason,” napatingin ako sa kaniya nang sabihin niya ‘yon. Tumaas ang kilay ko at napairap. Here he goes again with his cliché sweet remarks. “I’m not looking for any reason, I go beyond the reason to love you.”

“But why do you have to act like that? Treating me like some kind of precious diamond. I hate it! I hate it! I'm not a princess, okay? I've never dreamed to be.” I protested. Alam kong naririnig ng driver niya ang pinag-uusapan namin at nahuhuli ko pang panaka-nakang sumusulyap gamut ang rear view mirror. Which I really don't mind.

“You are precious to me,” sagot niya sa malambing na tono. “I don't know why I became an obsessed freak. Well, I never did expect I would be so damn obsessed with a human. With you. I hate hunters so much that I even pledge not to have a wife. But that was before my 14th birthday, the day you showed up.”
