You scowled as a snowflake fell from the crisp, darkened air.

"I swear, if he doesn't stop shortening fall, I'll shorten his life." You waved your hands, causing a gust of wind to blow the snowflake from touching the ground.

"Aww, you don't mean that, Pumpkin."

You rolled your eyes at the familiar voice, "Maybe I do, Frosty." You turned around to face the guardian, who smirked at you. "Hi, Jack."

"Hey, (Y/n)." He grinned, his staff balancing on his back as his arms hung over it. "How're you."

"I was good until you came along." You responded, pulling at the red turtleneck sweater dress you wore.

The white haired boy fell into the tree, imitating being shot. "Ouch. That stung, Pumpkin."

"Don't call me Pumpkin."

"Nah, I think I'm going to call you Pumpkin." Jack winked, pushing off the tree and coming towards you. "I'm just here to check on your...progress-"

"-It's going good." You nodded, "Just want to let you know, it's September, Jack. Why are you making it snow."

"Bec-"

"Don't try and reason with me." You narrowed your eyes, "It won't work." You walked over to him and grabbed his collar, "If I see another snowflake, I will strangle you."

Jack raised his eyebrows before chuckling. "I feel like I'm walking on thin ice." You let out a small huff at your lack of intimidation, which made him smirk. He leaned closer to work face, "By the way, I think it's cute when you're angry." You shoved him away, cheeks tinted pink. You wrinkled your nose, tugging your turtleneck to try and cover your face. Jack gave you a grin before looking around and sighing. "Well, Pumpkin, I've got to get going."

You rolled your eyes, "Where do you possibly have to go."

"On a date." He said simply, causing you to snicker. "Okay, I don't have a date-but I totally could get one if I wanted," Jack responded matter-of-factory.

You giggled, "Whatever you say, Frosty."

Jack send you a small smile, opening his mouth to say something, before shaking his head and closing it. "Well, I do have to get going, Pumpkin." With a gust of wind he was sitting on top of his shepherds staff. "But, as always, it was nice to run into."

As he flew off, you pulled your turtleneck from your face, revealing your red cheeks and grin.

You sat on a tree branch, swinging your legs back and forth as you watched the wind carry crispy leaves around the air. You felt a small, cold breeze hit the back of your neck, and you groaned slightly. You turned around just in time for a small snowflake to land on your eyelash. You froze, scared to blink, not wanting it to fall. You waved your hands, causing the snowflake to be lifted by a breeze, the wind making the snowflake dance around your fingers.

"So, are you going to strangle me?"

You looked up, seeing Jack sitting on the branch next to you, a cocky grin on his face. "Seems to me that you want me to." You gasped, "Is there something you want to admit, Frosty?"

He turned red, looking away with a scoff, "It's called a joke, geez."

You smirked, satisfied with his reaction, before jumping from the branch. A gust of land carried you softly to the ground, and you looked up at the boy in the blue hoodie. "You coming down."

Jack laid out on the branch, any trace of his blush gone. "Seems like you want me to fall for you, again, Pumpkin."

"Again?" You questioned, laughing slightly, "Seems to me you just confessed your undying affection for me."

Jack hummed, tapping his chin, "Really? I don't recall saying that."

You sighed, nodding, "Don't make me come back up there to kiss you."

Jack looked down at you in surprise, frozen by your words. "Huh?"

You smirked, "Unless, I mean...you're fine flying down here and doing it yourself."

Jack stared down at you, before letting out a long sigh, "Seems to me you just confessed your undying affection for me." He repeated, before grinning. He lazily sat up and stretched, before following your directions and landing on the forest floor. He stood so he was only inches from you, tilting his head. "Hey, Pumpk-" You grasped him by the collar of his hoodie, pulling his lips to meet yours. You moved your hands to the back of his neck, holding him closer as his hands made their way to your waist. His lips left your lips, slowly peppering kisses on your cheek before trailing down to your neck. "I'll give you a real reason to wear that ugly turtle-" You pushed him away, swatting at him playfully.

"I really hate you."
