I stretched as I got out of bed and put on a black shirt and blue jeans. I walked down the stairs to the kitchen the smell of bacon filled the room.
"Yummy," I said looking at Allie who was making frying eggs now. I grabbed a piece of bacon off a plate and took a bite of it. "Where is everybody?"
"They must be in bed still," Allie replied looking down at the eggs. She walked over to the counter and poured some of the eggs out onto my plate. I grabbed a fork and began to eat them.
As I finished nobody had come down to eat yet. "Maybe I should go wake them up," I suggested.
"No, let them sleep they must be tired," Allie answered before I could start up the stairs. I went and sat back down. I sat for a little while as Allie cleaned up the mess.
I offered to help her but she said I should just take it easy. I sat and as she wiped the table I noticed she had a tear rolling down her face. "What's wrong," I asked her concerned.
More tears began to roll down her face as she stopped wiping. I went around the counter ,and wrapped an arm around her trying to comfort her.
"I am so sorry," she choked out as she sobbed.
"Why are you sorry," I asked completely confused as to why she would say that. All of a sudden I felt big arms wrap around me forcefully and pick me up. I kicked the person behind me as hard as I could. They dropped me and I turned around.
A huge man all black was doubled over in pain. As he got back up and walked towards me I noticed a big scar starting at the bridge of his nose to the bottom of his right cheek.
He walked closer to me and I backed all the way up to the counter. He was closing in on me and I had no where to go. I looked around for something to defend myself with. I quickly grabbed a knife from its holder and held it out in front of me.
At first he jumped back ,but then he must have noticed how shaky my hand was cause he smiled and started walking towards me again. He quickly grabbed my wrist and took the knife out of my hand before I even knew what happened.
"Foolish, girl did you really think you had the guts to kill me," he laughed his voice rough and deep. He then let go of my wrist and wrapped his hands around my throat and lifted me up.
"Let her go! Please! You already have the others," Allie screamed as she tugged on his arm.
"Do you want your son back or not," he yelled. I was losing hope that I would live when he let me go again. I dropped to my knees and coughed as I tried to breathe normally again.
"Besides, why would I kill her. Do you know how much I get paid for just bringing one of their kind in? Thousands," he chuckled. I looked around to see Greg and Allie also on the floor. Greg helped Allie on to her feet again.
"When will you bring us back Noah," Greg asked firmly.
"I said I might bring him back."
"No! You promised us our son back," Allie screeched. The man grabbed me by my collar and shoved me forward. I didn't keep walking at first but then I felt something cold press against my hip.
I immediately knew it was a gun. I walked forward steadily this time. What else was I supposed to do? If I was dead what use was I to my friends? At least if I was alive I could try to save them.
I walked until we came to what seemed to be a closet, guarded by another burley man. The man had rope and tape beside him.
"Tie her up," my captor demanded. The other man turned me around and tied my arms up.
"You want me to put her in with the others?"
My captor nodded his head and started to walk away. The man opened the door and pushed me in front of him. Holding a gun to my side. When the door opened completely I could see my friends standing there ready to attack ,even though their hands were bound together.
Defeat and sadness filled their eyes as they saw the man holding a gun to my side. "Back up and I won't hurt her."
"Claire, you just have to trust us on this one ok," Olivia said looking at me. I suddenly realized that there was someone missing from our group. Trey.
I noticed something scurrying out the door but the man didn't seem to notice. A rat. I took my eyes off the small creature ,so he wouldn't realize someone was gone from the group.
He shoved me into the room and shut the door quickly. I stumbled forward clumsily and almost fell ,but something seemed to keep me from falling all the way down and stood me back up.
"Your welcome," Griffin announced.
"Thanks."
"Ok here's the plan," started Sabrina. "Trey is going to wait for the right time to attack and take out the one guarding the door. Griffin is going to use his powers to untie himself and the rest of us. Then when Trey unlocks the door we will go and take out the others we know there's at least two more. Got it?"
Everybody nodded their heads and Griffin began to untie the rope from his hands.
Sorry if this chapter ended to suddenly. Just wanted get another chapter done and couldn't find a good stopping point for this one. Hopefully the next one will be better. Love y'all💕
