Legendary Volume 3 - Guilty By Design

Prologue

        A blurred, white haze distorted the view of anyone caught in it. Blizzard winds were roaring about ferociously and the only noticeable figure was a sole person standing among the snow storm. He was atop the summit of a mountain, in the heart of the storm but he seemed to take no heed to the icy weather that drained heat from everything in the vicinity. In fact, he stood shirtless with a calm face among the tundra.

        His deep gray eyes stared ahead at seemingly nothing and his black hair, that ran all the way down to his jawline, danced in the wind. He was wearing black jeans which had a thin layer of frost caked on top of them. A sword was sheathed on his back and he was up to his calves in snow.

"Ah, there you are. You sure as hell picked an interesting place to run off to this time."

"Ugh! Why are we here?! It's cold as hell! You better have good reason this time!"

Two hooded people, a man and shivering women had approach him from behind.

"I came here to gather my thoughts and train is all. I thought I told you not to worry for me."

He didn't waste energy turning his head towards the two. It was the hooded man that replied,

"You know just as much as I do that Lucius tasked me and Trin here to keep an eye on you."

"I don't ever remember giving you the right to call me 'Trin'."

"I don't need to be babysat by anyone, tell Lucius that for me."

"Naturally, I agree but I don't make that decision. Still, we had another reason for finding you anyway."

"What?"

"We think we know where he'll be next."

That caught his attention and made him turn his head towards the two.

"Whoa...", Trinity said when he turned. She wasn't expecting such a sight.

Hadeus chuckled, "Training does you well I see. You have the eyes to go along with that physique of yours."

Eric's pupils were thin slits with two protruding spikes at the middle of each, almost resembling a cross with sharp ends. These were the eyes of a dragon in it's late stages, and an extremely powerful one too. He growled at the two almost.

"Where?"
