Luke sat at the table with his arms crossed and stared at his empty plate with contempt. The Mexican food was great, but not worth it. Amar'e's face was lying against the table, not a sound came from him. Ursa was rubbing her stomach looking rather satisfied while Lisa sat back in her chair, her feet rested up on the table while she picked her teeth.
"It's true what they say; food does taste better when it's free," Lisa declared in glee, "What's wrong you two? You haven't said anything since you finished your meals."
Amar'e showed know indication that he'd move while Luke's eyebrow twitched in aggravation.
"You enjoy blatantly mocking us?" he growled.
"Oh what's wrong? Still sore over the price of the whole meal?"
"Who spends 400credits on takeout!? It's absolutely absurd."
Ursa smiled as she rubbed the back of her head, "Oh don't make us sound fat now. We were just enjoying the hospitality you've shown us."
"How is hospitality when this is your house and we're being forced to pay for you!?!?!?"
Amar'e finally muttered something against the metal table his face was pressed against, "You two are just as bad as Matthew. Eating like tomorrow's the apocalypse."
Then a few seconds of silence went by before Amar'e rose his head up quickly, realizing something he should have realized long ago.
"Matthew! I forgot about Matthew."
"Oh yeah! Myra and Luxi are both probably still with him! Ugh, I'm so stupid, how could I forget about my best friends." Ursa said knocking her forehead.
"Don't worry, I'll call him now." he replied before reaching for his Nexus and entering his contacts list. Then he held it up to his ear and waited as it rang.
**
"Mother, I'm so sorry. Who knows what you'd say if you saw me now." Matthew said with a red face as he sat on a comfortable chair with Myra leaning on his shoulder and Luxi lying on his lap as they both slept. It was past midnight and he felt so tempted to doze away into a deep slumber but he knew he needed to stay awake for when Amar'e called him. Luckily, the movements of the train were keeping him awake.
Matthew and his two female companions sat in a private first class cart on the East Coast Amtrak. They had the cart all to themselves. It had its own shower and a huge, king size bed but for some reason, they decided they wanted to sleep on Matthew instead.
"You'd think after making me spend all that money that they'd at least sleep in the huge bed. Now I know how Amar'e feels." Matthew teared up as he thought about the blow his bank account took in order to acquire this room.
He then felt something vibrate against his leg and quickly reached inside his pocket to pullout his Nexus.
"Ah, finally." he said relieved as he answered.
"Hello?"
"Amar'e, you've finally decided to call. I was starting to get worried."
"Yeah, sorry about that. Sorting things out took a little longer than I-"
"Matthew! Where's Myra and Luxi!!!" Ursa yelled into Amar'e's Nexus.
Matthew picked his ear, his eardrums ringing from the sudden outburst, "They're right here with me sleeping. I'm on the Amtrak going towards New York. They didn't want to be left alone and didn't know where Lisa lived so they decided to come with me."
Ursa sighed in relief, "Thank goodness they are okay. Those two can be a little reckless and lost without me some times."
"I think it's when they are with you that they are that way." Lisa stared at her skeptically.
