Amar’e let out a wary yawn as he woke up out of his bed. The noon light of the sun pierced through the hotel window and onto his face. He looked to the bed next to his and saw Matthew sprawled about, snoring deep in sleep. The luxury of sleeping in while away from Mesto Mecha was a welcome one. Still, he felt a bit of depression for the fact that he and Matthew had been traveling for two weeks and had hardly any luck locating Luke, Destiny, Eric or Dominic, their estranged fellow disciples.
“Six months...six long months since that day.”
A vague image of Axel laughing hysterically flashed inside his head.
Now your’e just trying to flatter me mate.
Ignoring his alter ego, Amar’e got out of his bed and drifted to the window. He looked out to the streets of Virginia, seeing the sun’s bright, white reflection off the ocean water from the beach in the distance. He then sighed again and scratched his head.
“What are we doing? We’re looking around aimlessly now. We’ll never find them at this rate. If only I could get one sign... Huh?”
A breeze suddenly swept over him and stray sheet of paper flowed carelessly through the wind and smacked itself on to his face. Amar’e peeled it off and examined it.

»At the AfterLife Bar in downtown Virginia Beach«
Amar’e's eyebrow twitched as he had a skeptical look on his face.
What is this? A joke?
“Good morning Amar’e.”
Amar’e turned around and saw Matthew yawning and rubbing his right eye as he woke up.
“What’s that paper you got there?”
“Something that is too good to be true.”
He then walked past Matthew and slapped the paper against his chest.
“Hmm...UMMA Tournament...10,000 Credits... RIGHT HERE IN VIRGINIA BEACH!”
Matthew jumped up excitedly gripping the sheet of paper, all the lingering effects of sleep were wiped away from his face.
“Amar’e! There is a good chance-”
“That our furry, numbskull friend is gonna be a part of the tournament. Yea, I know.”
“All right! Let’s go!”
Matthew got ready to rush through the door but was grabbed on the back of his shirt by Amar’e.
