Chapter# 18 Allora Goes to California

One day, Allora was just getting out of one of her classes, when Aria came up to her and said;" Allora, Chiron wants to talk to us right now." Allora replied and said;" Okay, just let me put my stuff away."

So, she put her weapons away and made her way to the Big House to talk to Chiron.

When they got there, Chiron said;" I have a mission for both of you. Allora, you are to go to California to look for demigods. And Aria, you are to go to Paris to fight monsters.

Allora, you will be gone for two or threee weeks. Aria, you will be gone for six to nine months. Pick your companions wisely. And good luck to both of you."

So, Allora picked Michael and Elizabeth to go with her. They had to leave the next day, so they packed their bags and ate an early dinner and went to bed.

That night, Hannah said; "Hey, Allora. Before you go, I have something for you. " She then held out two jars filled with a slimy liquid. One jar had black liquid, and the other jar had white liquid.

Allora said; "What is that? It looks gross. " Hannah answered and said; "This is squid ink. The white one helps get rid of scars, and the black one helps get rid of bruises. This stuff will really help you. "

The next day, they left and headed straight for the train station. Along the way, they stopped to eat and hoped that they wouldn't run into any trouble.

When they reached California, they had no idea where to go. So, they founda hotel to stay in and when they went to their room, they locked the door and Allora collapsed on the bed.

Allora reached into her pocket and pulled out a note that Chiron had written for her. It said that she had to find a person by the name of Christopher Sherman, and he would tell her where she needed to go.

So, the next day, they left the hotel and headed to an old newspaper printing office and went inside.

Allora knocked on the door and when an older gentleman answered, she said; "Hi, I am looking for a man by the name of Christopher Sherman. Do you know where I cam find him?" The older man answered and said; "I am Christopher. How can I help you?"

Allora said; "My name is Allora Stettin. Chiron told me to come and find you. He said that you had a task for me to do. So, please tell me what I need to do. I brought two companions with me."

When Allora finished speakking, Christopher told her that she had to find two kids that are also demigods and she was to take them to Camp Half-Blood. He then handed her a photograph of what the kids looked like.

Christopher let Allora and her companions stay at his home during their mission, which Allora was very grateful. Because she hates staying in hotels.

She sent an Iris Message to Chiron and let him know that they were okay and that they now knew what they had to do.

The next day, they went to the local park to search for the kids. While they were walking, Allora could sense that they were being watched or someone was watching them.

She was just about to tell her companions to be careful, when someone grabbed her and pulled her behind a bush. The person turned her around and said; "What are you doing here? You shouldn't be out in the open. Come on, I will help you."

The person that grabbed her, let her go and started walking away. Allora thought that she recognzed the person, but couldn't really tell. She shrugged her shoulders and followed the person.

The went to the nearest bathroom and went inside. The person tunred back around and pulled down the hood of her sweatshirt. Allora gasped and said; "Ella? Is it really you?"

When Ella heard Allora's voice, she lifted her head and said;" Allora?! What are you doing here? I thought you got adopted or something."

Allora then told her that they were looking for two kids like her and her companions and showed Ella the picture that she was given. Ella said that she knew where to find the kids that they were looking for. So they followed her to an old empty warehouse and knocked on the door.

One of the kids opened the door and said; "What's up Ella? Who are these other kids?" Ella answered and said; "Hi Caleb, is your sister here? These kids are here to talk to you and your sister."

Caleb opened the door and let them in. He then called his sister who was upstairs. His sister came down the stairs and said hi.

They all sat down and Ella introduced Allora, Michael and Elizabeth. Allora them told Caleb and Shannon that they were here to take them to their demigod camp where they will be safe.

Caleb and Shannon agreed to go to camp with them and they all went to sleep, so that they could leave the next day. During the night, Allora wasn't able to sleep. So, she walked around the warehouse.

She had taken her potion to control her powers while she sleeps, but she just couldn't relax. She was thinking about Aria and hoped that her best friend was okay.

She was so deep in her thoughts that she didn't hear Shannon walk up behind her. "Allora, are you okay? You look like you haven't slept at all. Do you ant to talk about whatever you are thinking about?" Shannon said.

Allora answered and said;" I was just thinking about my best friend Aria. She was sent to Paris. I hope that she is alright. To answer your question, no I couldn't sleep. I have been having weird dreams lately."

The next day, they gathered their things and headed out of the warehouse. As soon as they left, there was a big crashing sound and it was coming from the warehouse! Allora turned around and gasped as she saw a monster standing in front of her.

She drew her sword and told the others to run. The other kids started running execpt for Michael. He stood by her side and fought with her.

Allora used to her vine to tie the monster down while Michael tried to get close enough to stab it. But, just as Michael got close enough, there was another sound.

This time it was a small hissing sound. As soon as Allora heard the hissing, she knew what it was. She looked to see where the other kids had gone and saw the dracanae attack Ella. Allora screamed and ran over to help Ella and managed to stab the dracanae. It exploded in a cloud of monster dust.

Michael was able to kill the monster tat had destroyed the warehouse and was just standing still watching Allora help her friend.

The othe kids came back over and thanked Allora and Michael for saving them. They kept on walking until they made it to the nearest train station to take them to Camp Half-Blood.

When they made it inside the border, Allora's siblings came to greet her and so did Chiron. He congradulated her for completing the quest and coming back safely.

Allora showed Caleb and Shannon to their cabin that they would be staying in until they get claimed. And then Allora went to bed.
