Chapter 27 - The Aftermath

For the past few days, it's been surprisingly alright. Will would come to visit me every day and sometimes stay the night, my throat got exceedingly better. My eyes have also gotten better, but they still keep the bandage around them because they aren't fully ready to see anything bright. I apparently damaged my retina. 

Will and I were just talking about regular stuff, like school, Nicki Minaj's new collab with a K-pop group, and well... my story mostly.

But I did hold back, I told him everything to the ninja betraying me, and the substance Zoell used on them to make them loathe my guts to ashes... but I didn't tell him everything that happened to me in there, yeah, he knows that they tortured me in various ways but... I never went in depth with what happened to me...

And I'm going to keep it that way.

I am getting checked out of the hospital and staying at Will's house for the time being because I don't want to stay alone at my parent's house because they are on a 6-month vacation trip in Peru for God knows what and I just want to stay at Will's house.

It still hurts when I walk on my right leg so the gave me a pair of crutches and a wheelchair just in case my luck goes sideways and both of my legs start to hurt again.

"So this is the Hatcher house huh?" I said as I felt the walls.

"If you're fine with that, you can share a room with me, and I think you can take the bandages off today, off your eyelids... right mom?" Will said with a hint of hope dripping from his words.

"I got the all clear, but your vision will stay blurry for a couple of hours, but other than that, it showed in your last scans that your retina had healed." I could hear the smile on WIll's mom's face. 

"Well get settled in first, and then I can take the bandage off-"

"What are we waiting for? Let's do it now!" I said impatiently. The caretaker chuckled.

"Well alright, just go up to Will's room and sit down on his bed, I'll be up in a minute." I felt WIll's hand slyly go into mine gently as he guided me up the staircase. I was so excited to have this blindfold off of my face, it feels as if I forgot to see.

I sat down on the bed, talking to Will as I heard footsteps up the stairs, guessing that it is Will's mom.

I felt a presence and a hint of perfume as it hit my nostrils. My breath tensed as I backed away slowly.

"Y-y/n, what are you doing sweetie, I'm taking the bandage off." Ms. Hatched politely said.

"N-no you aren't Momma H... your Zoell," I said shakily, she smells just like her.

"Y/n... it's me, sweetie, that girl isn't here. I don't know how she is or where she is... but she's not here anymore." The girl that tried to talk to me was right there. But I didn't know who it was. I started to shaking uncontrollably and what makes it worse was that I couldn't see a thing.

-----Will's POV-----

Y/n started to shake as my mom tried to talk to her, but it wasn't working one bit. But then my mom backed away slowly as she came to me.

"Try to calm her down. I don't know who Zoell is but I do know that I should change my clothes, I'll be back okay?" SHe said as she rushed out of the room.
