Chapter 9

(Here we go my dear readers.... Now i must admit i almost forgot to upload... I was happily reading when my brain decided to tell me 'hey its monday' and then a second later it decided to tell me 'hey we must upload a chapter tonight' and seeing how i forgot i hadn't edited the chapter so it was a quick read through, change a bit here and there and then ask my lovely friend who is pretty much my editor to check before i uploaded so for that reason alone this chapter will be dedicated to her... So @Abalaaa this chapter is dedicated to you!! Right before i continue to babble on here is the next chapter... We are now back in the present time and continuing on from the events of the first chapter... So enjoy!!)

Chapter 9

Lucas pulled Mia up gently and replaced her in front of Lucy but Lucy was too scared to look at her brother knowing the disappointed look he was sure to be baring. Lucas lifted her chin up forcing Lucy to look at him "what did you just say" her brother asked her, she looked at him and slowly began to cry "I'm pregnant" she said a final time allowing tears to fall down her cheeks. Lucy looked over to Tyler to see Mia slap him across the face with venom in her eyes "what did you do to her" she screamed at him and she was right as Lucy thought 'what did you do to me'

Lucas looked at his broken sister and didn't know how to react. How do you react when you find out your twin baby sister is pregnant? He thought as he rocked her back and forward trying to ease her pain "I want to go home" Lucas heard Lucy whisper "please take me home" she sounded broken. Lucas nodded and pulled her up, keeping his arm around her waist to make sure she didn't buckle to the floor again. Mia looked over to see Lucas leading Lucy away from the field. Quickly grabbing her things she looked at her cousin, Adrian just nodded. Mia looked back to see Lucas and Lucy already half way to the car she gently jogged so that she was alongside them. When she got next to Lucas he looked at her and smiled 'thank you' he mouthed to her. Mia nodded in response and gave him a sad smile as she began to gently rub Lucy's back in a comforting way.

Adrian was still stood on the field looking at Tyler; his brain was trying to understand what had just happened "you really disgust me. Do you know that" he spoke without even registering the words. Tyler looked at him and laughed "aww did I upset your little crush" he said in a patronising manner. Adrian looked at him and sighed, it was taking every ounce of self-control he had in him not to punch Tyler's lights out, he took a deep breath before speaking "Lucy is like a sister to me and whatever you think is not true" he said sternly, he could feel his hands form into fists as he spoke again " and I will protect her against bastards like you" and with that last word, Adrian pulled his arm back and punched Tyler square in the face; knocking Tyler to the ground. Grabbing his things Adrian made his way to his car and climbed in before starting the engine and peeling away from the car park.

Lucas pulled into their family driveway thanking every god in creation that their parents were away on some business meeting. Mia opened the car door and got out before opening the passenger door and helped Lucy out. Mia could tell her friend was in some sort of shock because she looked so weak and helpless; not letting go of Lucy, Mia began walking towards the house where Lucas had already opened the door. Once inside the house Mia began helping Lucy up the stairs; neither of them saying anything, just allowing themselves to be engulfed by the sounds of their feet padding through the house. Once upstairs Mia led Lucy to her room and placed her on her bed. Mia was trying to understand how her friend was feeling but in reality she couldn't. All she could imagine was that it was 10 times as bad as how she feel if not worse. Mia knew it was a bad idea before she even spoke but she needed to ask. "Are you sure?" Mia asked in barely in a whisper; not wanting to break the eerie silence that they were surrounded with. Lucy looked at Mia; tears still streaming down her face and slightly nodding her head. Lucy turned to face her pillows and placed her hand underneath pulling out the pregnancy test which she had done before receiving the text from Tyler. She held in in her hand before turning back to face Mia. Lucy opened her hand to reveal the test to Mia. Mia took in a sharp breath when she saw the pink cross "you know some times they can be wrong. Have you done another one" Mia said as she sat on the bed next to Lucy, not taking her eyes off the pink cross.
