Chapter IXThe breach

DAMN! I feel weak, everything hurts. I stumble towards the fridge in my room and reach all the way in the back in desperation. I feel the cool, curved glass I was looking for, a small hourglass shaped jug with a dark red liquid inside. I rip the top off and chug down the drink, and in a minute I felt a little better. That drink was what we like to call, a "fool's soul", an alternative to me devouring actual souls made by the science department. It isn't very strong seeing how one jug is equivalent to half a human soul, but it's better than my other two options. I can devour human souls and become a demon, or devour demon souls and become a demon and go insane, I'd rather have the fools soul. I laid down on my couch and tried to rest, I had no idea if I would get called up for another mission so I might as well get some sleep.

Weapons room

Alisa was in the women's section in the weapons room trying on the armor made specially for her. The "armor" was very different compared to everyone else's, they actually resembled regular clothing but were made with a new material created by the order. It was meant to be more comfortable for the wearer and be able to protect them from injury, the material was sturdy and could prevent most injurys, it could withstand shrapnel along with most sword and spear attacks, and could take a couple bullet rounds. The armor was a prototype and only Alisa would be wearing it until a final version is produced and distributed to the rest of the soldiers. Alisa had two versions of the armor, the summer version was a black sleeveless crop top with a crucifix over the heart and a light red skirt with black high heel boots that reached midway to her thighs. The winter version was a light blue dress that resembled a hoodie with the same crucifix on the heart and a larger one on her back, they came with black tights made to insulate heat and a pair of blue and white winter boots and dark blue gloves. Alisa threw on the winter uniform since she planned on going outside and members were not allowed out without wearing their protective armor. After she was done Alisa left the room and went to choose her weapons but to her surprise the director was there with something in his hands.

"Um hello sir I didn't think you were coming down here."

The director looks to her with his iconic smile. "Actually I am here for you. I hope the outfits were to you're liking?"

"Oh yes sir there really nice but what do you need me for?"

The director showed Alisa what he had in his hands, a pistol that had a blue glow to it and a long sword that resembled a crucifix.

"Dante was carrying these weapons when he came to us, we haven't been able to learn much from these weapons but we do know is that they are holy weapons, crafted by the angels in heaven and I believe that these should be yours."

Alisa held the weapons and looked them over, they were rather heavy but she would get used to them.

" You have Dante to thank for those, he has burns on his hand from carrying them all the way from Florida and to here."

"Yes sir thank you sir!" The smile grew on the directors face after hearing that.

"Ok now I have a lot of paper work to do so I'll be on my way, you finish here."

The director then headed to the elevator and waved at Alisa as the doors closed. Alisa waved back then carefully laid the weapons on a table and began to examine them. The gun was rather large and heavy, it had a beautiful design running across the barrel and the bullets had white tips and had a faint blue glow to them. The cruciform sword that was a bit to big for the young girl had a white sheath and grip, the guard was gold and it bleed into the swords fuller, just like the gun it had a gorgeous design running across the blades edge. These weapons were definitely made in heaven. Alisa sheathed the sword and put it on her belt and holstered her gun on the other side. putting on her gloves Alisa unlocked the door in the back and went out into the freezing night.
