"Restrictions level one released, rise Nightroad."
Yes. For a brief moment the world disappeared, I stood up as a felt a great energy begin to manifest itself inside me. I felt a power that I barely remembered, I felt like I was tapping into something I lost to the decades.
The ground around me began to rumble, my muscles tensed and I felt my hair stand up on my head from the surge of energy.
"Rrrraaaaaaaaggghhhh!" I let out a war cry that sent shivers up the greater demons back.
The demon turned towards me and charged at me after letting out a menacing howl. I however was to fast for the beast, I flashed out of its sight before reappearing behind the confused monster. With a swift move I grab it's horn and rip it off, causing it to cry in pain. The demon turned in my direction but using the horn I use it pierce it's right eye, causing another loud cry.
The demon fell over and began to back up, but I slowly made my way towards it. It lifted it's tail over my head and brung it down like a hammer, however it was a futile attempt as I caught it with my golden limb. It used this moment to rise up to its feet, with a howl the greater demon threw it's arms into the air in a attempt to crush me, but I leapt into the air before it could do so and sent my self spiraling towards it's chest. The high velocity sent me straight through the creatures chest like a speeding bullet.
The demon let out a low grunt before plummeting towards the icy earth. I stood over the demon before looking it in it's cold dead eyes before I could feel myself power down. A moment later I could feel the sickness hit me full force and I fell onto my knees, desperately trying to hold in my vomit.
"Dante you won, come on get up we have to get back home", said the young teen.
I slowly rise to my feet and limp towards a seat inside the bird with Alisa and Markus right behind me.
"Head back to HQ on the double," the director ordered our pilot.
I could feel my stomach churning, I needed to lay down, the disease felt like it was it was inching closer to taking my life.
"Dante what's wrong? You've been looking awful for the past few days."
"I did what I had to in....order...for you to........live", I struggled out.
"Dante what in the world are you talking about?! What did you do?!" Said the teen as she grasped my shoulder.
"Don't....worry Master.....everything is gonna be..............fine", I told my fiery haired companion.
I began to struggle with staying awake, what if I closed my eyes and I never wake up? I desperately fought to stay awake but the room in the bird was beginning to spin, I had no idea how much longer I could keep this up.
"Please Dante, rest until we get home."
I felt warm hands gently take my head and lay it down on smooth thighs. What was Alisa doing?
"Master I-I am fi-", I tried to sit back up and speak but the teen kept me in place.
"Please Dante, go to sleep, I am here, you're going to be alright I promise."
Her words were rather soothing, I almost felt at peace. I took the girls words to heart, so I kept my head on her thighs and drifted off to sleep.
Order HQ directors office
Me and Alisa silently stood in front of the director waiting for what he had to say.
"From the report you're mission was successful, and apparently the problem was coming from one of siblings having heavy influence there."
"Yes sir, from what we learned, we believe that one of them is hiding in Canada", I tell the director.
"No, the town was used to steer us off course, from these papers it says there is one of you on each continent, if that's true then you're the one walking around in America while the others are far off our shores."
The director paused for a moment to clean his glasses before resuming.
"We are sending you off on another mission, this time to Australia. It's the one continent we have easy access to without demonic resistance. we also believe that's were our traitor had ran off too, colonel Mays."
The last sentence was said with slight hate as it rolled of the mans tongue. Apparently while we were gone the colonel never left her office, so the director had the doors knocked down only to find an empty room. From what mediums have said, there was a strong demonic energy left in the room, and that the colonel has an accomplice. Someone young, most likely a recruit.
The medians had seen visions of her planning the breach that happened not too long ago, with turning security down on specific areas, and conversing with a strange man wearing a dark cloak.
"The mission will take time to prepare for, so you two must stay here and find the second traitor is that understood!"
"Yes sir!" Me and Alisa said in unison.
We were then dismissed but I stayed behind to talk to the director.
"Sir I don't think Alisa is ready for these types of missions", I said through my coughing fit.
"Dante, believe me when I say she is more than capable of handling these missions, I had even gave her the authority the colonel had on you, making her even more of an importance to you on the field. And also do not forget that the girl is a tactical genius."
I nodded my head in agreement, and hobbled out of the room to be met by Alisa a short ways away from the door.
"Dante hurry up, we can't have you sick like this, we need to get you to Alisha", she said with concern in her voice.
"But I don't-", I was quickly cut off as Alisa grabbed my arm.
We didn't move, we just stared at each other for a few moments before Alisa put her hand over my chest, and mumbled a prayer. Soon her hand began to glow, and the strange light began to surround my body.
What in the hell was she doing this time?
