Aiming her weapon at the incoming horde Alisa prepared for the worst. There was no way she was gonna be able to take all the demons on, there atleast a couple hundred making their way to her and Dante. A demon twice her size charged at her, she stopped it by using her sword to shield herself but the force sent her back a few feet. Once she regained her footing Alisa charged the monster, the beast swong at her but missed from her sliding under the attack, the demons mistake gave Alisa an oppertunity for an attack, quickly she sliced the monsters legs sending it tumbling to the ground. Before she could finish the job however a smaller demon tackled her to ground, she was sure she was gonna die until the thing was shot off her. Looking to see who saved her it was none other than Austin.
"A-Austin? What are you doing here?"
The boy ran over to her and lifted her to her feet, "I could ask you the same thing, why is Dante on the ground? What the hell happened here?"
Alisa looked over to see her servant lying in the snow motionless, she needed to fight these monsters off or they would all be dead.
"I can tell you afterwards but first we need to take down these monsters."
Austin took a moment to reload the dual pistols he brought to the fight, they were standerd grade weapons used before the world went to hell, and they weren't much use unless you knew where to hit the demons.
"Alright then, we only need to keep them at bay till the rest of the elite squad get here, if we work together then we can at least weaken their numbers." The boy had a good idea and with the two of them they could atleast do that.
The two nodded to each other and began fighting the horde, Alisa took the demons head on while Austin shot the demons that Alisa didn't kill on her first try. They cut through what seemed like an endless amount of enemy's and soon the two began to tire. A demon began making its way to the defenseless Dante, a disgusting monster from the pits of hell that feeds on fallen soilders. Using all that was left of her strength Alisa sprinted to their direction and slayed the demon by cutting threw it's skull. Alisa dropped down next to her servant seeing if he was unharmed. While she was checking him Austin screamed, an abnormally large toro demon was attacking him, having used his all his ammo he had no way of defending himself. There wasn't anything Alisa could do, she was to tired to do anything, her thighs were stiff from the cold and the running, her calfs were burning and refused to go on. She was giong to watch a friend die, and there wasn't a thing she could do, but in what seemed like a second the demons head exploded from a bullet that left a green trail. Autumn soon ran up to the girl and kneeled beside her.
"Alisa is it? Don't worry we here to finish the job you stay here and keep the boss warm." She spoke to Alisa with a sincere smile and then ran off with the other three members close behind her.
Thanks to the elite squad the battle came to an end, corpses littered the battle field turning the snow red from the bloodshed. Alisa was disgusted by the sight, she never did like violence but in the world they lived in, violence and death became a regular everyday thing. A short blonde guy wearing headphones walked up to her, he had short, messy spiked hair that resembeled Dante's and was wearing a khaki jacket with white fur on the hood.
"Let me help ya up, so what happened to sarg?" The boy slowly helped her up along with the unconscious Dante.
"He um went crazy...I don't know what happened to him but he started killing like a madman, I had to stop him because I was scared he would attack an ally." Alisa was looking down at the ground the entire time, the look on Dante's face truly terrified her.
The boy then gave the girl a smile, she couldn't understand how he could smile during a time like this, they were just attacked, there was a giant hole in their protective wall.
