The further we walked down the cave the darker it became. The darkness was unnatural, looking back I could see the light from the hole we came through completely disappear, and my teammates barley visible.
"I can't see a darn thing, anyone got a light?" Said the redheaded teen.
"I can provide it if you unlock some of my abilities."
The teens jade eyes focused on me and I could hear her shuffle towards me and reach blindly until she grabbed my hand.
A few seconds later the red transparent chains became visible, but instead of one or two breaking a set of eight hovered over my arm.
"Dante....I am going to unlock enough abilities to the point that you're gonna be a major threat...", said my young companion.
"Hey I don't think that's a good idea, just give the guy a bit of power not a fucking shit load!" Sky semi yelled.
"SHUT THE HELL UP!" Screamed Alisa. "The thing at the end of this tunnel will rip us to shreds I can feel it, I have to give him his abilities."
"B-boss you're not going along with this are?!"
I looked Alisa in the eyes and proceeded to answer.
"If you want to do this, then I won't stop you."
Sky stood their with a shocked expression, he was not happy with our decision at all. The chains began to spin around my arm at a high speed before shattering and disappearing into thin air.
We stared into each other's eyes before nodding silently. I held my hand up into the cool air, I didn't remember how to make energy, but the science department and the director have told me I should be able to do it easily. I concentrated and my gold limb began to feel warm. Suddenly a bright flame erupted into my palm and lit up the cave to where we could at least see a few feet in front of us.
"Let's go." I said.
We began walking and while we did, I felt an energy that was hostile, it felt like it was going to snuff out the flame, and suffocate us with an unnatural darkness.
