~ summary: grayson goes to the coffee shop you work at daily and a goofy relationship is formed ~

———————————————————————

"Pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin spice latte," you mentally repeated, grabbing a medium cup from the rack and filling it up with the order continuously running around your head.

You snapped a cap on top and handed it to the woman at the counter with a smile.

"Here you are. Have a great day!" you beamed as the woman clinked a few cents into the tip jar and walked out the front door.

You figured you were one of very few people who enjoyed going to work everyday, but you just couldn't help loving it.

The little coffee shop you worked at was so cozy and inviting.

You loved the smell of coffee and doughnuts that filled your nose when you opened the front door. You loved the young and old couples that came in for breakfast. You loved the blueberry muffins you got to take home at the end of every day.

You just loved everything about your job.

———

You were scrubbing down the front counter when you heard the bell above the door ring, meaning that there was an arrival of a customer.

You looked up and instantly made eye contact with the cutest guy you'd ever seen.

He had brown hair that was floppy in the front, dark hazel eyes, and the prettiest smile.

He walked up to the counter and placed a five dollar bill in front of him.

"Um, hi. I'm just gonna get a glazed doughnut," he said with a small grin pulling at his lips as he examined your face.

He thought you were really beautiful and almost blushed at the sight of you when he first walked in.

"Of course. That'll be," you paused to type his order into the register, "$2.50."

He handed you the dollar bill he had in front of him and you gave him the change before walking over to the display case to grab his doughnut.

"Here you go."

You handed the guy his order and he gave you one last irresistible smile before heading out the door.

You couldn't help but feel distracted for the rest of the day.

Your mind frequently trailed off to try and figure out who the cute, mystery stranger who came in earlier was.

You couldn't figure it out though. You just had to rely on the fact that you'd see him again.

———

The coffee shop was pretty much empty besides one couple eating breakfast in the corner so you went on your phone while you waited for another customer.

"Hey, excuse me," a voice said.

You looked up from your phone to see the cute guy from the day before standing there.

You smiled and set down your phone to take his order.

"Hello again," you said with a goofy grin.

"Wow, you actually remember me," he replied.

You laughed.

"How could I forget you? Are you here for another glazed doughnut?"

He chuckled and shook his head.
