Love Psycho
Jungkook's P.O.V.
I walked through the crowd as I stared at my phone following the way to where HeeJin could be. From the path I saw on my phone, she seemed to be pretty far away.As I kept walking, the people soon started to disappear. The more I walked, the fewer people I encountered. I ended up in the further part of the dock. As HeeJin described, there were a lot of ducks. There was a bridge just like she said. I walked up to it and saw her.
There she stood. Her dark brown hair was down and her smile remained. Her eyes stared at the water where ducks were swimming. Her elbows rested on the side of the bridge while her legs seemed to be crossed.
A smile formed on my lips staring at her enjoying the ducks swimming. I walked up to her and tapped her on the shoulder to get her attention. She turned around and her smile grew wider as soon as she saw me.
"Jungkook!" She yelled as she gave me a quick hug. "I thought I would end up here forever!"
I was still frozen by the hug she suddenly gave me.
Why does this always happen to me?
"Jungkook? Earth to Jungkook!!!" I heard her yell.
I shook my head coming back to reality. "Huh? What?".
"You spaced out," She said before going back to the position she had earlier staring at the ducks.
I repeated after her but instead I stared at her. "How does someone get lost helping a duck?"
HeeJin's head turned around to look at me. The both of us immediately froze after realizing our faces were so close to each other. Her eyes stared into mine without uttering a single word. It felt like the whole world had stopped. Her eyes slowly averted to my lips as mine did the same. HeeJin suddenly turned her head away and gave an awkward chuckle. I turned around awkwardly as well.
I wonder what would have happened if we stayed like that a little longer...
"Do you know the way back?" She asked, ignoring what just happened.
"Yeah, I have a map on my phone of the way here."
A few minutes of awkward silence passed by. We both stared at the little ducks swimming while listening to the drops of rain hitting the water and making a sound. The rain was pretty light and the feeling of warmth was filling up the awkward atmosphere.
But God had other plans.
"Shoot!" We yelled as the light rain suddenly started pouring.
The clouds suddenly turned darker and the ducks started to either fly away or swim away. HeeJin and I started running while our arms were trying to cover us under the rain. The grounds soon started to become wet and puddles of water started to form. The sound of the rain wasn't calming down, meaning it wouldn't stop any time soon.
"There!" I yelled, pointing at the nearby tree.
We both ran practically for our lives. I'm serious, we were running as if there was an earthquake behind us and if we didn't arrive at our location in time, we would die. We finally arrived under the tree panting. We tried to grab some air after running so much. We both then just stood there under the tree, not saying anything.
"Why is it raining again!?" I yelled.
HeeJin didn't seem to say anything so I turned around to see if she was still there. I turned around and saw her hugging herself. She was shivering a bit, but she looked fine. Her hair was a bit wet but for some reason, she was smiling brightly.
