Hurt
3rd Person P.O.V.
HeeJin finally entered the music room after such a long time. She closed the door behind her before grabbing a chair for her to sit on. She took the time to take her guitar out of its case and place it nearby her chair. She closed her eyes and took in the air of the music room before letting out a light sigh. Her eyes slowly opened revealing to her an empty chair. Loneliness started to fill her heart as she stared at the empty chair.Usually, HeeJin didn't mind being alone. Being alone was probably part of her daily life, she liked it. But after hanging out with Jungkook so often, things started to change around her. Not having him around just made her feel lonely in a bad way.
HeeJin let her thoughts go and slowly grabbed her guitar placing in on her laps so she could play it. She let her fingers slide through its strings letting her eyes closed making everything around her disappear.
Her thoughts were completely blank until Jungkooks figure popped into her mind. She tried to shake the thought away, but he was everywhere. She let him be and began to sing her song— for him.
"A pleasant goodbye
ultimately there can be no such thing
If I knew I would have cried it all out thenBy then you were done with me
A story only I didn't knowIt wasn't love
It was just time spent next to you...."HeeJin couldn't help but pause as she sang. Usually singing would make her feel better, but for some reason, it wasn't working. She kept her eyes closed and took a deep breath before beginning to sing again.
"Now I think I know what it feels to be vaguely hurt
Why you had to be sorry?
Maybe I was too excited
You anticipated the moment you would leave
How amusing was it for you?A pleasant goodbye
ultimately there can be no such thing
If I knew I would have cried it all out thenBy then you were done with me
A story only I didn't know..."She wasn't able to finish her song. Her eyes slowly opened to see still that same empty chair in front of her. Her heart suddenly ached as a tear escaped her eye. By now, she had to accept her feelings for Jungkook, but It was too late.
"You...traitor..." she mumbled staring at the empty chair in front of her.
Her fingers wiped away the single tear who ran through her cheek, but it didn't stop another tear from falling. No matter how many times she wiped away her tears, they kept coming back.
"HeeJin! I knew you would be here!" A voice had entered the room.
HeeJin knew who it was, but didn't dare to turn around. She didn't want to show that person in what kind of state she was in.
"Namjoon..." she mumbled keeping her head down.
Namjoon, the person who had called out for HeeJin, approached the young girl sitting on the chair. He sat himself on the chair in front of her. The chair was now not empty anymore which reassured HeeJin, but the tears kept on coming no matter how less lonely she felt.
Namjoon still hadn't noticed anything until HeeJin finally spoke. "Why does everyone leave me?" she asked in a trembling tone.
Namjoon tilted his head in confusion not understanding what HeeJin meant. "Mom left, you left...and...Jungkook" HeeJin let out a sob.
Namjoon immediately stood from his chair as soon as he heard her sob. He kneeled down in front of her and slowly took the guitar away from her hold to put it down. He let his hands place themselves on her shoulder and tried to grab a glimpse of her eyes, but failed.
"HeeJin, Tell me what happened?" He calmly asked.
"Why do I keep falling for the wrong people?" She said finally looking at Namjoon in the eye.
Her eyes were filled with fresh tears still streaming down her cheek. Her light sniffles were audible to Namjoon's ears as he stared at HeeJin being in such a state.
His arms automatically wrapped themselves around HeeJin as his hand stroked her hair to comfort her. "It's going to be alright..."
"No, it's not..." she denied. "I've never liked someone this much...it hurts..."
She tried to speak in between sobs. She remembered to be in pain like this when Namjoon once left her, but it was barrable. This time, she wasn't able to stop. It was exactly like the time she was left alone for someone else, but this time, it hurt more.
"HeeJin, I left you once and I'm going to make sure I won't repeat that mistake," Namjoon said rubbing HeeJin's back trying to calm her down.
"I don't believe you. You left me once, there's a chance you might do it again." Those words went through Namjoon's heart like a sword pierced through his chest. But he knew she was right. He might've done it once and it might happen again.
Namjoon pulled away from the long hug and looked at HeeJin in the eye. "You're right, I left you once and I might do it again, but that doesn't mean my heart stopped beating for you. HeeJin, your heart beats for someone else now, but mine is beating for you. All this true love thing is important to you and I broke that hope when I left you. Please, bring back the HeeJin who had the light shining in her soul."
HeeJin didn't know what to say about Namjoon's words. She felt bad that she couldn't return his feelings, but at the same time, he deserved it. HeeJin loved Namjoon, but it was never the same way she loves Jungkook now.
"I'm sorry" was all she could let out.
Namjoon slowly grabbed her face and pressed his lips on her forehead. "I'll wait for you..."
Little did they know that Jungkook had witnessed the scene.
