MITTY MORRISON LANDS ROLE IN SPIDERMAN MOVIE
It has recently been announced that Mitty Morrison, known for his roles on The Fosters and To All the Boys I've Loved Before, has been selected to play Jordan Lovelace, the love interest of our beloved Peter Parker. This is the first time that the superhero gets a boyfriend instead of a boyfriend, Stan Lee himself saying that he always "envisioned Spider-Man to be bisexual, it just never came up in the comics."
When Tom Holland was asked about this, he seemed very excited about the idea. "I mean, yeah I'm excited to bring something new to the character," he smiled, "I think having a boyfriend is pretty cool - wish I had one myself."
While many fans are excited about this new edition to their beloved character, many speculating before the announcement that Peter Parker was bisexual, there are others that are weary about Morrison's arrival to the MCU. Morrison's sister, River, is known for the scandal where she tried to blackmail Oliver Lanning back into a relationship and many fans speculate that her brother will only bring that drama over to Marvel.
We have to agree that Spider-Man having a boyfriend is very exciting, but is Mitty Morrison the right person to play him? Yes, he made us swoon in TATBILB and Sierra Burgess is a Loser, but is he really good enough for the big screen? Morrison has been no stranger to scandal himself, with an messy breakup from ex-costar Cierra Ramirez and then when he was arrested for drunk driving when underage.
