Mitty didn't want to go to set that day. It was the kissing scene with Tom and he couldn't even look at the boy. He remembered the texts from Harrison, the knowledge that Tom had cried about him and really cared...and how he had absolutely ruined it all. He couldn't go back and fix his mistakes and now he was going to have to kiss Tom.

In front of a camera for a reason. And they would probably have to shot the scene many times which meant kissing him more than once and he wasn't sure if he could handle that. He wanted to kiss the boy, sure, but he most definitely knew it wasn't right.

God, he really needed to fix things. It had been a week and a half since the night that ruined everything and they hadn't talked once since he said that it was a mistake to Tom. He really did ruin everything and now Tom didn't want to talk to him – how were they supposed to kiss?

"Ready to go?" the director clasped him on the shoulder. No, he really wasn't, but he was an actor and he had to shot the scene even if it were uncomfortable and he would rather jump off a cliff.

He smiled up at him before standing. "Yeah, let's get this over with," he said before stepping in front of the camera where Tom was already waiting, having just finished shooting a different scene.

Tom wasn't making eye contact and he could feel the awkward tension. Then, "Shoot!" was heard and they were in character. It wasn't Tom and Mitty; it was Peter and Jordan. They weren't themselves and the tension had to disappear and create a new one. The two characters stared at each for a moment before Jordan took a step forward.

Soon, the gap between them was gone and their mouths were molding together. He knew that the camera was spinning around them, probably, capturing the angles it could There was probably sappy and cliché music playing.

They parted and then it was heard; "CUT!" and they were completely apart.

Tom wasn't looking at him anymore, probably wishing to be more away from where Mitty was while the Morrison boy didn't know how to feel. He wanted to do that again; he wanted to be with Tom.

"Tom –" he tried to reach out but it was too late.

"Let's shoot that again!" the director called and there was no time to apologize anymore.
