He felt himself fade away. There was a smile etched on Mitty's face as he swayed with the music, alcohol running though his veins. All the worries from hours ago gone from his mind, only bliss of the taste and the loud pounding of music as he lost himself. He didn't need to be there anymore.

People moved around him, dancing with him and going to the bar. He didn't mind them around him, he wasn't fully there to focus on them. Mitchell Morrison was virtually gone with the freeness he felt in the moment, gone gone gone.

"Hey!" Tom called, reaching for his shoulder and pulling him out of the trance.

He smiled at the boy. "Hey, Tommy," he slurred slightly, words merging together as the music pounded on.

Tom handed him a drink and he took it gratefully, "Got you what you wanted."

"You're the best," he told him and Tom laughed, "No really. You're just so kind to me and you're always here to hang out and show me around. I really appreciate it."

"It's nothing Mitty," Tom waved him off, "I like doing these things, and of course I'm nice to you – you're amazing."

Mitty laughed at that, "I am not great, Mister Holland. I'm a fucking mess who stressed about everything."

With how gone he was, he knew that he wasn't fully coherent. Enunciation went out the window quickly.

This caused Tom to roll his eyes after a moment, when he finished trying to decipher what Mitty had said to him, "You're not a mess Mitty. You're probably one of the greatest people I've worked with. I like having you around."

The Morrison boy frowned, "Why?"

Shrugging, the Holland boy tried to answer, "I don't know. You're always just so excited to be on set and everything, and you're an amazing actor. I like filming our scenes the best."

Mitty laughed, looking up so he didn't have to see Tom. That wasn't acting, his sober brain knew, but this Mitchell decided to ride it, "Oh yeah?"

"Yeah," Tom nodded, "You're just...I don't know."

"You like me?" Mitty guessed, looking at Tom. There was something more to his tone but his mind couldn't question it at the moment.

"Yeah. Yeah, I like you, Mitty," Tom agreed.

Mitty smiled at Tom, leaning in. "Really now?" he questioned, going closer to completely close the gap between them.

Their lips moved together and neither pulled away from a while. And Mitchell Morrison was going, going, going...gone...
