Mitty and Tom walked the red carpet together. The premier for Spider-Man: Far From Home had finally come and Mitty's nerves were wrecking him, though he tried to keep calm and held Tom's hand tightly - probably too tight but his boyfriend didn't complain and didn't look too much in pain. And Mitty was far too anxious to loosen his grip unless he knew that Tom was in pain.
"You're fine," Tom murmured to him as they continued down the carpet, stopping to give an interview real quick. He couldn't keep the smile off his face when he saw Tom struggling not to spoil the film, laughing when his boyfriend clasped a hand over his mouth as to not let anything escape.
Seeing this, the interviewer turned to Mitty for something but he just shook his head. "Sorry, unlike Tom I don't have a problem keeping my mouth shut," he apologized without genuine sorrow, making a joke out of it instead, "And I think the higher ups would have my head if I tried."
The woman interviewing him laughed at that and Tom flushed at the common use of his inability to keep secrets. Mitty kissed him on the head in a response to comfort him, squeezing his hand before relieving the pressure.
They continued their walk but Mitty stopped for a split second when he saw them. Oliver Lanning and his boyfriend, Timothee Chalamet were standing only a bit ahead of them, looking happen. Tom, noticing this, leaned in close to whisper, "Don't think about it. Just keep moving. You're fine."
He didn't feel fine though. There was his sister's fake ex, there was everything. And then, looking only a bit further, there was Joe Keery and Jax Hollingsworth. They were all their; the people who River helped but also hurt. They were all right there.
Mitty swallowed but kept moving. He wanted to apologize profusely, but for what? He hadn't done anything but the world made him feel as though he did. No, he couldn't dwell on it.
He kept a smile on his face and saw Oliver turn his head, looking at them. He thought for a second something terrible would happen, because paranoia's great, but instead the Lanning man just smiled brightly at the two of them. Mitty smiled back.
There was nothing fear, he didn't have to apologize. Tom squeezed his hand in comfort this time and the two of them kept walking forward, as they would always do.

downbytheriver after taking down off of acting to really find out if i wanted to continue in hollywood or go back to college, i decided that i won't be returning. i have too many bad memories here. while there are good ones and i will forever hold this part of my life dear in my heart, i can't get past everything that i've done and had to do in the past. thank you for everyone who has supported me, but it's time for me to leave 💜
