Prologue: My Hero

My name is Alannah. Just Alannah because that seems to be a theme for some reason. Anyway, I'm the queen of Kingdom Hearts. Sounds magical, doesn't it? No.

The life of a queen is so boring. All I ever did was sit in a stupidly big chair and stare at the floor. I wanted something eventful to happen for once, and, seriously, what's the point in being the queen of a Kingdom that has no people? I simply don't understand it, but still, a queen has to do what a queen has to do, and I intended on fulfilling my purpose.

The colossal, white castle I called home was surrounded in apparent darkness. When I say darkness, I mean pitch black nothingness. I peeked out the window of my chamber, and I saw nothing but endless black. Though, occasional splotches of light drifted through the endless abyss, and they seemed attracted by the door to the castle. My mother always told me to never open the door and to always keep it locked, but if I did that, I'd never be able to leave. I'd be alone forever.

After three years of holding it in, I couldn't contain my curiosity, so I opened the door. Nothing happened, for I saw what I've been seeing my whole life - pitch black and complete darkness.

Being queen comes with a huge responsibility, and that is - to protect my Kingdom from outside invaders. When I became the queen, I obtained immense powers of light, but additionally, I had no one. The queen before me, my mother, died due to a strange sickness, and the crown passed itself onto me at the age of 10. For three years, I only sat around. I waited and waited for something to happen. Nothing.

I woke up one morning, and I retained the same train of thought.
"Another day in that stupid chair." I grew sick of it. I got out of bed and put on my dress. My short gown emitted a sparkling, luminescent glow, and it didn't run past my knees in length. Its long sleeves halted at my wrist with white fur that tickled the back of my hands. Not to mention, it made my boobs look so good.

I made my way to the throne room. The theatrically large room appeared completely white with a single strip of red carpet down the middle. The carpet led to the golden throne of Kingdom Hearts.

I stood in front of the throne and felt the chilling metal on my fingers as I sat down. I looked around at the white columns towering on either side when suddenly a portal of darkness appeared in the middle of the room. Someone in a black cloak emerged from the dark entryway, and the hooded figure bowed before me.
"Queen Alannah."
"Who are you?" He removed his hood and revealed his face to me. His eyes beamed into mine as he laughed malevolently.
"I am the leader of Organization 13." My eyes grew in shock. What was he talking about? Organization 13? "We've been able to gather many hearts, and we're still continuing to receive more. Now, we want Kingdom Hearts." What? Who does he think he is?
"You think I'll just give it to you?" I glared angrily at him.
"You already have." He chuckled. You opened the door for us. Now all we need to do is get rid of you." Most of the Organization members appeared behind him, and I strangely trembled in fright. In order for them to take complete control, I had to give in, or they had to kill me. I couldn't take on all of them at the same time.  "I'd advise you to give in, but I know you won't submit so easily."
"No." That is why mother told me not to open the door. I can't believe I did that.

The Organization members all attacked at once, and I gasped at the rapidly decreasing distance between the Organization's onslaught and I. I assembled a barrier of light to protect myself, but the combination of all of their attacks proved too strong, and my only source of defense shattered, dispersing into a million pieces before my helpless eyes. The attack barreled toward me and I jumped to my right, in attempt to avoid it; however, the blast still hit the side of my stomach, and my beautiful dress was no longer white. The whole torso and a portion of the bottom turned red with my leaking blood. I gasped for air, and I lost so much blood that my surroundings swayed in lightheadedness. I prepared to give up.

Xemnas stood over me with a malicious smile; it stretched from ear to ear.
"Why are you doing this?" Tears welled up in my eyes.
"I have longed for this day. Kingdom Hearts will finally belong to Organization 13." He held his hand out towards me, and the power of darkness built up in his hand. I squeezed my eyes shut because I figured the end was near.

I heard something hit the wall and then the floor. I moved my hand around a bit, and I realized that I had barely clung to life.
"Your Majesty. Get up. You have to find Sora." That voice. It sounded like...

I slowly unveiled my eyes, and King Mickey stood over me. I wanted to speak and tell him how much I appreciate him saving me, but I couldn't. I only had enough air left to breathe.
"I'm gonna get you out of here." He placed his hands on the floor, and a white light shined around me. "Find Sora." I didn't know who that was. How was I supposed to find him? The light shined brighter and it grew increasingly difficult to see Mickey. "Don't worry, if you are unable to find him, the light will guide him to you."

I only saw white, and I experienced a seemingly constant state of movement, even though my body remained stagnant. Suddenly, my peculiar surroundings faded into a grey sky. I had no idea where I was, but my body trembled in frigidness. I laid on the chilling, white ground and gazed at the sky. Tiny, white flakes fell, and they periodically trickled down to my bitter cheeks. I wanted to get up and save myself from this terrible cold, but I couldn't. My wound throbbed, and the blood loss grew more severe. I couldn't maintain my consciousness.

"Hey." What was that? A voice? Maybe God? Am I dead? "Are you okay?" That's a dumb question. Did I look okay?

I hardly uncovered my eyes, and the blurry image of a boy came into view.

My vision finally cleared, and our eyes shared a sudden connection. This fixation felt like sinking to the bottom of a cerulean ocean, for I could get lost in his eyes forever.
"Wh-who...who are you?" My voice shuddered in frigidness.
"My name is Sora." Sora. He's the one.

I could only keep my eyes open for so long, and I lost consciousness once again.
