I opened my eyes, and I saw my mother standing over me.
"Mother?" She held her hand up to her heart and cried.
"Hello, dear." I started to cry as I immediately stood up and hugged her. I pulled away to look at her.
"Where are we?"
"We are in Tír na nÓg. A safe haven for souls of pure light that have passed." She touched my cheek as she looked at me with concern. "Alannah, why did you open the door? I told you not to."
"I was tired of loneliness. I wanted to see the world for once, or...worlds, I mean." I looked down at my feet in disappointment. My mother placed her hand on my chin and lifted my face.
"Don't be sad, I'm not upset with you." She smiled softly at me. "But, you still have yet to pass the crown, dear."
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot about that." I said as I wiped the tears off my face. I already knew who I wanted to give the crown to.
"Go." My mother told me. I turned around and walked forward. I disappeared into a bright light as I walked.
