It was just another boring Saturday after a long week of studying and practicing my dancing. I should be hanging out with friends and doing fun, productive things.
The thing is, I don't have any friends. Just kidding. They're all just busy.
I was really looking forward to probably having a girls night out with Nayeon and Julie. Or maybe watching a movie with Ashley. Guess I'll just have to do something by myself.
I decided to go to the park since it's 4:00 pm and the sun is still up. I wore a pair of leggings and put on my shoes (my light up twinkle toes!! Jk jk) I grabbed my soccer ball (fútbol, if you say it that way) and phone then headed out the door.
The walk over there wasn't too long. I enjoy watching the scenery before my eyes. The people passing by, crowding at little stores and birds flying overhead. It was a nice day outside. Not too hot, not too cold. Just right.
Once I got to the park, I went over to the soccer goal and stood about twenty feet away from it. Since I didn't have anyone else to play an actual game with, I decided to work on my kicking and aim. I wouldn't say I'm bad at soccer but I'm not the best either. Once in awhile the ball wouldn't make it in the goal. However, for the most part, I'd say I'm good enough to play for a middle school soccer team, even though I'm in high school.
As I was about to kick for what seemed like the 60th time, my left foot twisted in a way that almost made me trip, making my right foot kick the ball far off to the side. After I regained my balance, I saw that the ball had travelled quite far away. Great job Y/N... I said to myself. I started walking towards the direction of the ball then very quickly started jogging since I wanted to get there before sundown. Before I could even get to the ball, a boy had run up to it, grabbing it. I was about to kick his ass if he was going to take it for himself but just then he turned around and held it out for me to take it. I looked up to see the boy's face, who had a small smile plastered on it. My eyes widened at the sight before me.
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!" I started screaming seeing the face of a member from one of my favorite Kpop groups, Stray Kids.
"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" He too, started yelling, startling me.
"Why did you scream?," I asked, confused because I thought that I was the only one to have a valid reason as to why I did that. "Because you scared me when you started screaming. Why did you scream?," he said. I giggled at his cuteness, "It's just that I recognized you as Felix from Stray Kids and I love you guys!" He gave me a big smile "So you're a Stay?! I'm sorry for startling you." He gave an apologetic look. "No no, I'm sorry for startling you. It's just not everyday you encounter your idol." Felix chuckled as he looked down at the ball.
"Are you playing by yourself?," he asked. "Yeah" I looked away, ashamed that he probably thought I was a loner. "Can I join you?," he asked enthusiastically. "Umm, are you sure? What if other fans see us together?" "Don't worry! I have the perfect disguise!" He said as he pulled out a cap from his back pocket and put it on. "You call that a disguise?," I questioned, laughing out loud at his silliness. "Of course! Just don't make it obvious that I'm Felix."
We walked to the field, getting ready to start our 1v1 match. I still can't believe that I'm hanging out with Felix and we're about to play soccer together. Ha, who could have ever imagined?
"Hey, check this out. I'm a pro." He placed the ball down as if he was about to kick it. I was excited to see if what he said was true. However, when he tried to keep the ball in the air a couple times it ended up looking like the exact opposite.
I couldn't contain my laughter, no matter how hard I tried. I almost ended up rolling on the ground. "Was that supposed to impress me?" I asked once I calmed down. "Heh, I was hoping so but..." He awkwardly said. "Don't worry. I'm not much of a pro either." I took the ball from him. "You ready? Let's go!" (Hihi see what I did there)
After playing a couple rounds, the sun was already going down and we were both drenched in sweat. It turns out he wasn't much of a bad player after all. In the end, it all came down to a tie. We were too exhausted to continue.
"Hey, you're really good! We should play again some time...um.." "Y/N, my name is Y/N." I chuckle at his subtle loss of words when he didn't know my name. "Yes, Y/N! I had a great time today! I gotta get going. The other members are probably so confused as to where I am." "Oh yes definitely! It was so great getting the chance to meet you! I still feel like this is a dream. By the way, good luck on your successful upcoming career!" Felix suddenly gave me a quick hug which took me by surprise. "Thank you so much! Make sure to take care and goodbye!" Then he took off jogging, not forgetting to wave one last goodbye to me, giving me his stunning cheeky smile that always made me in a happy mood. I waved back at him before I grabbed my stuff and went back home.
The beautiful sunset illuminated of multiple colors. The breeze brushing against my skin made me feel so relaxed. Today was such a great day. Maybe one of the most happiest days of my life. I think about the time I spent with Felix today. I know that I'll probably never see him in person again. But for some reason, there's this feeling in my gut...
I don't think this is the last time we'll meet.
