It's now my lunch break and I'm waiting for harry outside for twenty minutes now. I hope he comes soon I only have an hour... unless he stood me up... stop It, you're being silly.
Thinking he's going to be a while I stick my earphones into my phone and play Talk by Kodaline and not even a minute into the song I see Harry walking up to me.
I pull out one earphone from my ear he jogs over with a small smile on his face 'hey.'
'Hey, I'm on break for about fifty minutes so we have heaps of time.'
We start walking down the road I turn off my music and wrap my earphones around my phone 'what were you listening to?'
I turn my head to harry as I put my phone in my bag 'Kodaline, do you know them?' he smiles 'yeah they're great, my friend Niall got me into them, he's Irish' I can't help but smile and nod along.
'Oh I was thinking instead of a coffee, I could take you out for lunch...you know since its lunch. Unless you don't want to or you're not hungry, I don't mind, I mean-'
I cut him off from his little rant and smile 'I'd like that, I'm pretty hungry' he smiles and I can see his dimples poke through, oh gosh, he's so cute.
'So where did you have in mind' he turns to me and thinks 'I seriously don't mind, there's Japanese, German place, err... we can have kebabs, or there's a small Italian place down Warren Rd not many people know about it but they have absolutely amazing food... whatever you want.'
He's so polite, I can't believe I ever though he was the slightest bit rude 'the Italian place sounds nice, I'm not a huge fan of large places with lots of people.' I shouldn't of said that, when people usually find out about my anxiety they usually stop talking to me, hopefully Harry won't do that.
Harry leads me off the main road and down a little street 'Is this the part where you actually turn out to be a serial killer?' I joke he laughs and shakes his head 'no, it's just a few doors down.' Just as he says that I see the sign and it reads Da Vinci's Pizzeria.
We walk into the restaurant and I instantly fall in love with it. The interior is all exposed brick, extending from the middle of the room to the back is the kitchen and the counter where you order the food and the rest of the room is scattered with tables.
I look up and see fake vine leaves bordering the lining that separates the walls from the roof. I close my eyes and breathe in through my nose; the smell of the food is absolutely amazing
'Where do you want to sit?' I look around and point to a two seater at the back of the room. We walk to the table and I sit with my back facing the door while Harry sits opposite me.
The table is has a white cloth over the top and a plastic sheet over the top, to the left hand side there's a little candle and two laminated menus held between salt and pepper shakers.
'The food smells absolutely amazing' I say, he nods and agrees
'I used to come here with my mum and sister all the time' I was about to ask why he didn't anymore but decided against it.
'So, do you have any other siblings apart from your sister?' he shakes his head 'no, which is good cause I don't think my mum could afford anymore' he laughs 'but yeah, mum, gem and I are really close.'
I nod my head and listen to him as he speaks 'what about you, do you have any siblings?' I shake my head 'no, I'm an only child.'
I pick up my menu and hand the other one to him he says a thank you as I scan over the dishes 'did you want to get a few dishes and share?'
